Pettersson creates an unecessary log jam on the left. Kulak is good enough to play 2LD this season. If all goes as planned with Broberg he will slide into 2LD full time NEXT season & they can run Nurse, Broberg, Kulak for the foreseeable future.

In what way do they need LHD?? Nurse & Kulak both signed for term. Broberg poised to take a step & be full time with Murray as a cushion if he struggles. Not to mention Samorukov & Niemelainen looking good in the A.... Oilers are lacking depth on the Right side for both defence & wingers.

Dallas needs to dump Faska & pay Rob what he wants. And why not just buyout Khudobin at this point?? Does it save more cap space just to keep him burried??

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SociallyHawkward</b></div><div>It's funny. This is what most Edmonton fans are offering for Kane just missing puljujarvi.</div></div>
Apologies for delusional Oilers fans... I think trading for Kane would be a waste for the oilers. They wouldnt have the cap space to get him resigned next yr so they would be giving up alot for 1 season of a McKane first line... as awesome as it would be!
That being said, I do think Hawks fans are also a bit delusional about what they will get for Kane, chances are there will be a decent amount of disappointment.

Oilers Cap Compliant Without a Trade
The Janmark signing was idiotic, hopefully he proves me wrong, but i really think it was an absolute waste of precious cap space for a team that was already deep with Left shot guys.
All for burrying guys in the A, they could be potentially picked up by another team and that would be a good way to get rid of them entirely off the books. I'd send Shore down as well and have Malone up for the 4th line. And I doubt Benson gets a call up this season, there are a few other guys in the A that need to get a kick at the can.

How much for Poolparty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>T0R</b></div><div>If he does, I would love Dubas to jump on it, cause i think other than the initial trade for PoolParty, He can get someone to retain the 1.5 which has happened several times in recent years from teams with extra cap that has their team set</div></div>
I love PJ, I think he gets a bad rap, and has tremendous potential. More teams should absolutely be after him, especially any teams with some young Finnish players already on their roster, as i think that is the main cause of Jesse's struggle on the Oilers. A bit of an outsider caused mainly by a language barrier.

How much for Poolparty
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>T0R</b></div><div>He wants a trade it’s not the fact that he is kinda expensive It’s that no one is taking Barrie or Fogele & Poolparty wants a trade out of Oil Country</div></div>
Foegele could be easily moved by adding a pick. And why not? if the team is a stanley cup contender for the next 3-5 yrs, a 3rd rnd pick should mean nothing to them.
I dont think Holland has even shopped Barrie. He is very popular in the locker room, and both Ken & Brad Holland have said in multiple interviews that the team chemistry on & off the ice is a major factor for them.
PJ has never asked for a trade. Holland denied that he did, as well as PJ himself. However, I do believe that Jesse is a bit of a loner when it comes to off ice team dynamics, probably mostly due to the language barrier from the start. It was no secret that Koskinen was basically his closest friend on the team. I think in the end he will be traded, but i cant see it happening until the Oilers have something lined up to fill the hole it would create on the right side.

Play him in the top 6 to start out the yr, he was good last yr until he got hurt, then covid, then hurt again. If he plays well trade him mid season or at TDL with his value raised a bit.
If he plays ridiculously well, keep him for a playoff run.
If he is sub par again, trade him next summer, he will still be an RFA.
The problem is the Oilers aren't very deep with right shot wingers, so trading PJ at this point just to free up cap space makes no sense.</div></div>
That being said, i am fully aware that Holland is stupid enough to make the mistake of trading PJ & just crossing his fingers that Jake Virtanen pans out with a PTO.

cup run
Trading Broberg & not resigning McLeod are major mistakes.
Murray is not durable enough to play the whole season let alone go on a deep cup run.
Koekkoek wont be anywhere near the team this yr.... possibly not even down in the A
Malone will see more minutes in the lineup before Shore will.
The islanders dont do that trade, not saying the value isnt fair but they have no need for a right shot dman like Barrie, for essentially the same reason the Oilers no longer need him with the emergence of Bouch- They have Dobson.

This would be a Classic Oilers L for Holland to have such a solid summer just to ruin it by trading PJ for essentially nothing & thinking Virtanen is a good enough replacement.
I know the media is saying PJ is likely to be traded, but how idiotic. For a team that is very deep on LW, right down into the minors, but is lacking on the right side, it makes zero sense to trade a guy like PJ & keep Foegele & sign a guy like Janmark this offseason.

Hey, you brought up Foegele and Ryan, not me. The point i was making with my initial comment was that Calgary would be getting hosed if they traded Tanev for Dvorak. I dont think Foegele & Ryan are a better offer, i was just sarcastically going along with what u replied.... but i guess that went over your head.

Oilers easily decline. The only reason they would be moving Barrie is to free up cap space. He is a #1 PP QB & is popular in the locker room, unfortunately just a cap casualty. Armia coming back really doesnt serve a purpose for the Oilers as it barely frees up cap, he has term left, he sucks, & he is overpaid. So unless its just picks coming back or a shutdown RHD, the Oilers say no.

The Oilers need a shutdown RHD. You can have Barrie & Foegele, but keep Lindell, they have no spot for him.
