Maybe he should have fired his agent, because the Bruins offered him the best deal of 20 over 4, but withdrew on July 1. So much for that term he was looking for, should have taken Boston's deal!

His chemistry with Pasta was magic. Bs will take a step back this year...but are still a playoff caliber team even with current cap crunch and vets potentially/likely retiring in Bergy and Krejc, respectively. But next year? They don't have any bad deals on the books and will have plenty of room to bring in players to add to, as well as compliment their core

Welcome Back Bert
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RedWing9119</b></div><div>Why would Bertuzzi sign that deal?</div></div>
For a month or so, a few writers I follow on twitter have suggested 5-6M AAV is his expected price tag.
"f you look at comparables the league Bertuzzi has a range of $4.95 million AAV through $5.8 million AAV. Some players that can compare to Bertuzzi are Andre Burakovsky, Conor Garland, Teuvo Teravainen, and Josh Anderson to name a few. Burakovsky just signed a five-year, $27.5 million deal with the Kraken, that carries a salary cap hit of $5.5 million, which settles right in the middle of the AAV range."

word is on twitter that since he missed so many games, he is a rare example of a non 35 YO player eligible for a veteran incentive contract. So they can get him on a similar deal to Iginla back in 2013-2014

all due respect, why would LAK do that deal? They save 250K to take on a player who is maybe 20% as productive as Ilya?

fair, although personally i'm more willing to commit to Ferland as he has a lot more to offer in terms of speed than those two. If those two are significantly cheaper options, they would be great moves

Step One Creating cap flexibility
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>No I understand cap economics. Trading a top four d getting paid 1.4 million is bad. Really bad. Like really really really bad</div></div>
You are aware we are dealing from a position of need (in terms of cap)? Bruins have not much leverage, dozens of bad contracts exist in the league, and over the next 2-3 weeks, only a handful will be traded to the teams who need to hit the cap floor. If you're looking to shed deals for cap.... you dont have leverage, and if you dont overpay by sending an asset to move your bad deal, you will not clear the contract form your books. simple as that
McAvoy, Carlo, Krug, DeBrusk, Coyle, Heinen, Kuhlman, Gryz, and more.... alll need new deals within the next 12 months, Someone has to go between Gryz and Krug. Again, the hypothetical in this example, is that Bruins feel comfortable extending Krug at reasonable price and ship out Gryz instead.
So if we are going to **** if it should be a 2nd rounder over a 3rd? Cool. Maybe you are right there. But the pushback with zero logic behind it, other than the douchey attitude that you are the internet's #1 armchair GM and whatever you say goes, is hilariously stupid..... and shows why you have posted 8 thousand times. get yaself a hobby

Yeah, i would prefer to add a more physical guy on the right side for the top 6, but there just are not too many big, skilled RWs under contracts that the bruins could land. and KP would be special on either of our top 2 lines
I would like to see them add a bruising forward to the bottom 6 though, if anyone out there in the 1-1.5M range who can kill penalties and play a heavy game, that would be great

So you don't understand cap economic's and how valuable it is to clear a contact that is hindering the team. Got it, no biggy. Pay attention to trade values relating to contract dumps, what what the great organizations do to clear those horrid contracts. You Might learn something to make posts 8,000 to 10,000 worth reading!!

It’s just a bad one is all.</div></div>
Moving Backes and getting a 3rd for Gryz is an EXCELLENT deal for BOS if they have confidence in locking up Krug. Otherwise, they have to trade Krug. Essentially, it is keep Krug, clear Backes deal, and get a 3rd rounder for Gryz (who will also need a raise in a year).... That is a massive W for the Bs, but a simple concept that youre small brain can't understand

Do you understand that it is not a complete roster, that I titled this "Step One: Creating cap flexibility", because it is essentially a pre-July 1 roster?
This roster is keeping their own and making a move to create cap space to give them room to add players who I do not know are available yet. For someone with enough time to comment 18 THOUSAND! times on a website, you could probably stop, read, and understand a simple concept.

No I dont at all? So your saying we can go over the cap with extra skaters? Tell me if I am wrong, but 1: this site already includes the bonus overage 2: you have 21 players under contract, is that even doable from an injury perspective?
just dont get the 12 total Fs, and 7 total D move
