oilers bad and mcdavid is mad
I really don't get where this "edmonton sucks" stigma comes from. We made the conference finals last year, are still a young team which is only gonna get better every year and are in a position to make a run this year as well? It's the same thing with Toronto and Matthews, they are a top 5 team in the league and could so easily make a run as well but everyone acts like they are a lottery team when talking about how unfair it is to him. The avs were in the exact same position as Edmonton success wise up until last year and they won the cup. It's just a really dumb idea that would have worked in 2018-2019 but doesn't anymore.

No incentive for Washington to do this with Fehervary, Sandin, and Alexeyev on the left side, and they can't take his cap hit anyway.

Why is Buffalo trading a 3rd and Comrie for a career AHL forward? They can just bury Comrie if he can't get it together and save the pick.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy316</b></div><div>44% of all NJD faceofs are taken by Haula and Mcleod.
So they both play 4th line Center is what you're saying ?
If Boqvist is a Center , so is Josh Anderson and Gallagher.
Being forced to lose faceoffs at a 35 and 37% win rate at 350-550 draws isnt a strong argument.
By that logic Drouin's a great Center , said no one ever.
I'll give you 2 of those people you have signed that you named.
But Haula is sketchy as he's playing 2nd line minutes on most teams
Mcleod is legit a 4th Liner and IMO probably one of the NHL's best just like Sissons was in NSH before he grew into a Middle 6 guy.
You're offering up better quality in RFA's and a guy who's not been called a 4th line center since Minnisota. He may have been inconsistent and had stints there but never stays there.
Faksa has been playing 4th line for like 5 + years
Bellmare has been playing 4th line Center for a Decade.
That's what i was talking about.
But if you can find a better player who can win faceoffs who is AVAILABLE then i'd do it to.
But what you did was look only and go "there's a C by his name , all C's are created equal , clearly"
But now that you brought it up how much is Mcleod going for since he's Available?</div></div>
Oh so your only argument is he wins faceoffs at a decent rate.
your best comparable of a recent trade is Lazar, who was 700k a year cheaper and just went for a 4th round pick

You're cap strapped right ? What about Ylonen or Pezetta or RHP?
Or does a 2nd in 2023 11 picks behind your 1st balance it better?
I can always acquire a 2nd and draft Bonk later he's not projected by most to go this high anyways.</div></div>
You can find a player like evans easily. He's dime a dozen.

They need to save that pick as part of a package to address bigger issues up front - they shouldn't be wasting it on bottom-six guys

If Colorado moves their first, it's not going to be for Evans. I like him as a player, and understood that a 2nd is going back to the Avs, but a 1st just simply isn't part of the conversation imo.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TraderJoes</b></div><div>Is Saros even available though?</div></div>
Not for parts they dont need. Wing prospects is a position of organizational depth for us. This proposal does basically nothing for us.
Olofsson - we just traded Nino and granlund. Two steps forward one step back. Nino was cheaper as well.
Rosen is a fine piece but we already have tomasino, Evangelista, kemell, shaefer, l'heureux at wing in our pipeline plus whoever likely gets picked in this upcoming draft since it is pretty forward heavy for the first round.
Sure goalies likely dont get more than this in terms of value... it just isnt the right pieces for nashville's needs. High end lhd and c prospects.

Could Carter Hart be the guy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Roperttos</b></div><div>You are litarally going against facts and just saying that they are not true lmao. You are like a stubborn old man who can't accept the reality</div></div>
Pretty incredible. Based of this statement i don’t think you know what the words, “literally,” or, “facts,” mean.
It’s subjective. It can’t be fact.
But, lets deal with reality. Let’s deal with this from an objective standpoint. Let’s deal with facts. Hart started the season hot as a pistol, and unsustainably so. Since then (11/7), he’s been bad. Really bad.
He ranks 69th (nice) in save % with a horrid .896, and 65th in GAA with a 3.18. That’s bad.
Now, because I can already sense it coming, don’t give me the, “well it’s because he plays for a bad team, it’s not his fault,” argument. Goalies from Arizona, LA, Vancouver, and many other teams that have been worse defensively have done better than that.
