ATTENTION GMs: The BOG has decided that the GM Game trade deadline will be <strong>March 31st at 11:59 pm EST</strong>. Any trades made after this time will be invalid. In order to ensure maximum participation in the TDL, the BOG will allow each team to be involved in eight (8) trades during the month of March. The regular four (4) trade limit is still in effect for February. The playoff schedule is currently being discussed and will be released at a later date.

No need to get hostile as part of this is no doubt my fault.
I was under the assumption that waiver claims were on a 24hr cycle rather than the 48hr time frame. That's why I timestamp my waiver posts.
So that one's all on me and I accept that.

Beyond that, what I did say may have been taken out of context simply because it's written out and there's no way to detect "tone" of what was said.
Why I said what I did is that I see most of you all on twitter rather frequent which I again assumed you might check in on CF to see if any posts have been made that need attention.
Nothing more. No one expects anyone to be here 24/7 so if I upset anyone I can be mature enough to see my error and admit to it.

Doesn't mean we need to go all "friends off" or anything :) &lt;--- that's a smiley face to indicate I was trying to make a funny :)

With things starting to slow down a bit in the game at this time of year, I wanted to take this opportunity to send out a blanket message to everyone.

Simply put, I would like to extend warm holiday wishes to everyone. People tend to use this time of year to cherish spending time with family and friends.
For myself I'm on my own. No family, no significant other, partly by choice and partly because that's the way life goes. I was very fortunate to be welcomed into this game almost 1 year ago and since then have enjoyed the discussions, disagreements and even arguments with all I've engaged with.
It's hard to imagine that a group of strangers interacting through an online game can become "friends" but I do think that's what has happened here. Of course some of you have been around much longer and likely know more about each other, but I've always tried to view each of you as an actual person on the other side of the screen, and at times made a conscious effort to get to know a bit about each of you and your personal lives.

With that in mind, I sincerely hope each of you has an enjoyable Holiday season with those close to you and that you take a moment to look inward and understand how fortunate you are to have those people in your lives to share this time of year with.
So whether you simply have a GF/BF, wife, parents, kids no matter who they are make this season one to remember. Life is so very precious, and surprisingly short that nothing should ever be taken for granted, and life is made so much better because of the special people in our lives.

Attention GMs!

Scoring Update:

Thanks to all of you who submitted your roster for preseason rankings. After counting up how much time it took me to compile the rosters that GMs sent to me, I have decided that the simpler approach for everyone will be this:

1. GMs will keep their team pages up to date with the roster that they want to be scored, especially around the 20th day of each month. You will be scored with all roster slots, including healthy scratches, for the entire month based on your roster on the 20th.

Here's an example: if you trade Martin Erat for Filip Forsberg on the 15th of the October (and he appears on your team page), you will get credit for Forsberg's stats for the entire month of October when we publish at the end of the month. However, if you make the trade on the 29th of October, since it is past the 20th it will not be included in that month's scoring for your team and you will remain with Martin Erat's stats for October.

2. A BOG member (usually me but we all have access) will enter the rosters to the scoring sheet directly from the team pages. If we have any questions or issues with your roster, we will notify you to get clarity. Otherwise, GMs can check the scoring sheet to make sure their rosters have been entered to their liking, and notify the BOG of any concerns.

Note: Just for fun, I may decide to upload the stats from Corsica more frequently than monthly, but the official rankings will come at the end of each month. I will publish an archived version of the stats in this thread each month that will serve as power rankings, and there will be a live sheet that I keep updated in between.

I saw others doing it and it's not a big deal. Not going to say it was anyone else's fault, but that's the only reason i did it. I got confused why so many people were doing it. But it's not a problem so why not?

I realized it wasn't necessary, but I wanted to post all the players I was sending down publicly so I could move them down on my roster and be able to view my team better.
