But I think Reaves and his adding of two inches to our lineup is why Matthews is looking at a 70+ goal season. Reaves has *added *two inches to *Matthews!

Overpay for Gudas and also Gudas was offered a contract by Treliving. Gudas was offered by both the Leafs and the Oilers. He refused stating he does not want to play for a Canadian team. I would love Gudas, as a Leafs fan I actually love his iconic picture. He is exactly the type of player that helps. He risks everything and is not afraid of repercussions but he still stays within reason. He deserves the game for that picture and is it actually hilarious as well.

Leafs biggest trade in years
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ansabch12</b></div><div>Really underselling Ras as a "good dman" which tells me you have no idea what you're talking about, he is one of the leagues best defenceman at one of the most valuable contracts and would instantly be their 1st or 2nd best dman signed for 2 and a half more years, that kind of value can't simply be bought with a mid prospect and a late first.
Hanifin is again much better than that and will easily be able to fetch a better return on the deadline market, there is literally no point in trading both top 2 dmen to the same team that already has a limited asset pool, so maybe try looking at the actual trade before simply comparing value.</div></div>
You just called Cowan a mid prospect lol.
Yeah sorry man I didnt praise Rasmus enough??? What do you want a paragraph about how good he is, you’re just looking to whine.
A mid prospect is like Minten.
Getting topi and a first is a great return for a UFA but cry more without offering any useful rebuttal.
You got the Leafs two best prospect but act like you got their 7th and 8th. This offer would be close (KEY WORD) to Coronato and Porier (Coronato clears Cowan easily and I’d personally take Topi over Porier but that’s really just a coin toss/ matter of preference between those two I’d say).
Cowan would probably be a top 3-4 Flames prospect and I’d personally rank Topi higher than Porier (who’s commonly ranked 4-5 for the Flames).

Jus talking purely the value.
Cowan and a 1st for a good DMan
Topi and a 1st for an expiring UFA
How is that delusional - I’m not a leaf’s but I don’t see a lowball?
It just looks funny, these comments when they themselves seem delusional.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Haymaker26</b></div><div>I'm honestly sick and tired of seeing Guentzel trades. The Pens are only a couple points out of a wild card spot with at least one game in hand over everyone above them in the East. They're still in the playoff race and Dubas hasn't talked to anyone about a Jake trade. As of right now, he's not available.</div></div>
While a agree with you that the Pens aren't likely sellers (at this time), isn't it a bit of stretch that you that Dubas hasn't talked to other GMs about a Jake trade? GMs talk all the time about players and their trade values in case they want to pull the trigger later.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ToneCapone420</b></div><div>In a perfect world they get rid of Murray and reallocate that cap space to a defensive improvement. I see GIO playing less this year maybe like 50 games and i would think Kulikov gets 50-60 games as well. It will be important for the Leafs to keep the D fresh for playoffs</div></div>
I agree. Guess we just have to wait and see if Treliving can pull a rabbit out of a hat in free agency.

As I said in another thread, Anaheim adds our 2023 fourth and a conditional 2024 third, to be transferred if Henrique misses more than 21 games in 2023-2024. And you guys take out the Islander pick.

Meier and Henrique are the big additions we need
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ToneCapone420</b></div><div>I targetted Henrique because at a retained price of 2912500 i figured he could be a slightly cheaper and more offensive version of Kerfoot for this season and next and then they could move on from him in the offseason when they need to take a run at resigning Matthews Marner and Liljgren. Bjustad i like as a big body with the ability to take some RH draws as well and adds some extra size to the bottom 6 that Kerfoot doesn't have. I also like Accari in that spot. I think if leafs cant resign Meier this offseason they could at least try and flip him to regain some of the pieces they traded off prior to the TDL</div></div>
Yeah, I figured that's why but the cost of acquisition is probably too high for only 2 years and them giving up a lot for Meier. In this case, maybe someone like Laughton (or someone who doesn't take as many penalties), who isn't necessarily more productive than Kerfoot, but he can be their 3C at least 3 more years. Depending on if he will resign at an affordable amount maybe trading for O'Reilly would be better at that cost. Lowest I can see him taking is 4m though, but they can probably get 4mx2 at least. He'll be 33 by then so depending on how his body is feeling maybe he still has 4-6 years in him. Henrique on the other hand is already 33. Or maybe they just get a Kampf replacement (he's probably outpricing himself) and go after a guy like Lafferty. Meier is a significant add so, they don't necessarily need a guy who is good offensive, although Henrique is great defensively as well.
I meant having both Kerfoot+Bjugstad, they can take draws on their strong side, as well as Jarnkrok.
If they go for Henrique, then I think they need to go with a cheaper top 6 option like Domi or Barbashev.

If Weager is actually available
You just broke the first cap friendly cardinal rule....if you can't spell his name then you can't have him! :tearsofjoy
But seriously. With his extension I'm not sure the Leafs could afford him without seriously messing up their roster elsewhere, and I don't think that would be enough to interest Calgary.
