Who do you think is the odd man out? Hauge? I think Islanders might have an interest in him. And then Martinez, who I think Vegas would need to pay a little to get rid of. Right?

Massive Offseason
Oilers add in the Islanders trade. Puljujarvi has really not shown much. He has played alongside the likes of McDavid, Drisaital, Nugget-Hopkin, and Nurse, and he hasn't excelled as he should around that talent. Broberg is a nice piece and the 1st is a 1st but 3 years from now so the value is not that high. Mayfield is a low-end number 4, playing on the 3rd pair on a great deal and if the Islanders fall out of the playoffs this year at the deadline they will be able to sell him for an arm and a leg. Beauvillier is on a team-friendly deal for 2 more years and just had the worse season of his career. He is still young and has shown promise in prior years. No need for the Islanders to sell low on him. If they needed to include him in a deal for Debrincat or Fiala or Chychrun sure.
Long story short: Islanders give up the best two pieces and move towards a rebuild so no.

How many times do Islanders fans have to say they will not be trading their 13th overall pick for Josh Anderson. It just isn't gonna happen.

STOP! The Islanders do not want Muzzin at 5 Mill and Muzzin isn't going to waive. Islanders would be interested in Sandin. A la 2nd and 3rd or 2nd and Bode Wilde?

Why would the Islanders trade a 2nd for a guy who cants make the Flames roster? 16 points in 82 NHL. The Islanders will take him for future considerations but a pick LOL **** off mate

I don't hate the trade for Debrusk just not sure where he fits into the line-up. (Lee 1st LW, Beauvillier 2nd LW) 3rd line probs and do they need a 4 mill player on 3rd LW, no. They also have Parise, Martin, Bellows, and Johnston who all play LW. So I think Islanders pass.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SCT2016</b></div><div>i don’t hate this but what about Barzal next year. Islanders have one too many big contracts that are almost immovable, and he’s going to demand big money. Bailey cap dump works but you might need to throw in a compensation pick to get rid of him.</div></div>
Bailey does not need picks attached to him. He still put up 44 points last year. He is owed 3.5 Mill in real money for the next 2 years. Bailey can still provide some secondary scoring for a team. The notion that he is the worst player in the NHL has to stop. McDonagh was just moved for some prospect, nothing great but still prospects. And his contract is 6.75 for 4 more years and the real money owed to him is 5.46, 8.4, 6.93, 4.2. Josh Bailey can fetch the Islanders a mid-to-late-round pick as shown above.

Isles make a blockbuster trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>justaBoss</b></div><div>Isles adds in SEA and BOS trades, VGK can't afford Varlamov</div></div>
What makes Islanders add to the SEA trade. Bailey would have been tied for 3rd on the Kraken in points and 1st on the Kranken in assists last season. He's only owed 3.5 Mill in actual money for 2 more years. The Flames pick will be mid-to-late round 3rd, essentially a fourth and it will be next year making it even less valuable. I think Bailey would be a good fit in Seattle and give them some more stability in their lineup (2nd or 3rd line) as they build to become playoff contenders over the next two years then you let him walk.

Dreams - with slight realistic things
This trade makes no sense for Islanders. Islanders trade the 13th and Beau for Anderson and 26th. Anderson is older, makes more money for a longer-term, and scored the same amount of points (pro-rated) as Beauvillier. Meanwhile, Beauviller had a career-worst year. Additionally, the Islanders would move back 13 picks. MTL would get a better pick and a player that is younger, cheaper, and has better output. Shouldn't the Habs be adding?

The trade is also pretty comical. Killorn is hot garbage and Mcdonagh is on the wrong side of 30 and has 4 more years at a 6.75 cap hit. Why would the Islanders give up a 25-year-old, a 2nd, and a 3rd?

I think this price is a little low but I also think if a team can offer the Islanders a quality young pro-ready prospect and 2 2nds or a 2nd and a 3rd they would part with him

Islanders laugh. A 2nd and 3rd for a 34 year old, who is injury prone. So many better options at that price point. You can pay us to take him

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Digitalbooya06</b></div><div>Come on dude... Didn't even include Raty and you have Minnesota as the one adding a good prospect?</div></div>
Wild fans need to understand they will not get Raty and a 1st from the Islanders. Raty was projected to be a top 10 pick and then had a rough draft year and fell to the Islanders. He is still a very good prospect. Then for the Islanders to add their 13th pick in a deep draft. Not to add the Islanders prospect pool is not deep. Fiala is great and all but not gonna mortgage the future for him. The Wild are also at a disadvantage considering they are in a cap crunch. I know teams will be calling but I don't think the price tag will be as high as many Wild fans think.
*This is directed at all Wild fans.

If Islanders are trading Varly to Toronto (Not going to happen, 16-team NTC), it will be centered around Varly and someone like Nylander. Not Mrazek and some prospects.
