Agreed.

I mean, I couldn't care any less about Dellandrea (I'm not that high on him), but if anything close to this were to happen, Lindell and his cap would definitely need to be going the other way to even make it a possibility.

He's gonna make 3-3.5 Million or more on the UFA market. Maybe Smith would be good with someone who can help if someone makes a mistake. Maybe they should have tried Smith and McDonagh as the top pair, as McDonagh could help out when Smith loses the puck.</div></div>

Smith would likely be good with him, but I'm not sure I'd want him out there as much as McDonagh is. I'm not sure of the minutes spread between the d-pairs in NY, but I'd want Smith on my 2nd pairing unless the team does and even distribution of ice time for all 3 pairs throughout each game. Smith's game goes under the radar a bit because he plays a defensive role instead of the more common 2-way or offensive minded styles that are prevalent these days.

If Vegas can have teams provide them with picks, even in the later rounds, to draft certain players, they will gain assets for their team that will be necessary to build moving forward. I think i'd consider it but believe it or not, i don't know if i'd make any. I'd already have draft picks, and i'd want an okay team instead of some horrible team that takes so long to be good. Just my opinion though. And i might make a few, but not many if any at all.</div></div>

Depending on who is left exposed in the expansion, they can have a competitive team AND gain additional assets. 6-10 moves isn't a lot in a league of 31 teams, especially when those moves can be a combination of taking incentives to draft certain players, or flipping drafted players to other teams for assets after the draft. McPhee doesn't have much pressure to be good immediately, so the focus should be on building a decently competitive team for this upcoming season, but also making sure to have lots of younger players with potential and draft picks to get talent in quickly or have assets for future trades.
