No thank you from buffalo.
I could see a peterka for Bouchard swap based on team needs, but buffalo doesn't need a power play qb and Bouchard needs a new deal and we are about to pay dahlin and power.
Adding kulich is insulting everyone's intelligence, which isn't nice

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BigShoots</b></div><div>They'd save 750k in cap trading from a position of strength for a position of weakness. Ceci would likely play in our top 4. I'm not saying this is the best possible deal for Garland, we don't know what that is. My point is we dont pass easily. It's a fair offer that would and should be considered. There's talk of buying out Garland or adding a sweetener to get out from his contract. I don't quite buy into all that but he's clearly not highly coveted.</div></div>
Just because a player would play in our top 4, doesn't mean they should. Tyler Myers has been in our top 4 for several years but that doesn't mean we want him there. Ceci is not that great, is too old for our core, and is not worth trading a good middle 6 forward for

Should they go for something like this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>Every year between the ages of 15-23 are big for developing players, forwards more so in that range. D keep develop slower so around 25-26 and goalies until around 29-30. My point being a forward prospect takes a massive leap in development every season from 15-20, and usually smaller but still important steps for a few years after those. So if two players have the same output in the same league but one is one year older, the younger player is more impressive by a significant margin. At least that's how I see it. Imagine someone like Bedard. If he could have played on Chicago this past season at 17 years of age I'd bet he still would have been able to put up 40-50 points in the NHL. Now with his upcoming season at 18 I'm gonna guess he'll be around 70-80 points. That's a huge difference.</div></div>
Yes, I’m constantly education ppl here about how forwards develop & peak faster than D-Men and Goalies, but there’s lots of considerations here
How bout their size. Holtz is listed at 6ft/192lbs while Pelletier is only 5’9/165lbs. Takes a lot of guys time to fill out. Bedard has an advantage as well being 5’10/185lbs already
Next would be rink size and physicality. Int’l ice is much bigger, so there’s more space to work with and less hitting, whereas it’s a tighter closer and more physical game here in North America. The QJMHL is more of a high offence and less physical and defensive game, but Pelletier had the advantage of playing in tighter spaces
My point is there’s so many considerations, but your first year in any league is usually challenging, but especially professional hockey, even and including the AHL where you’re playing against men the same size or bigger than you. They’re either prospects on the same road you are, experienced fringe player or former NHL’ers, so although it’s not the best in the world, it’s a bigger, stronger, substantially more physical league that both would have to adjust too and did exceptionally well
Again, my expectation of Holtz is much higher given his size and draft position, but your points are all valid as well
As for guys picked 1st overall, they’re typically phenoms, so can skip the AHL, but not always. Slafkovsky has amazing size, but needs time to adjust to the North American game, same goes for Nemec. You’re right that Bedard is likely already NHL Ready though, so will start in the Big League right away

His defensive liability at 5v5 makes him a no-go for Carolina. That’s why he’d be buried as a sheltered mins PP specialist.
I didn’t say he wouldn’t be good for the Canes…just said they wouldn’t spend their cap space and draft capital on it. Give us a Vegas Patches special price on him and let’s talk.</div></div>
You do know that the last 2yrs that he has Scoerd 48 goals and only 14 have come on the PP. 21 of his goals this year were 5vs5. Yes his defense isn't great, but Carolina has the Centers that can help with that while he scores 30 goals a year with the talent there.

Ooh, there’s a ton of food courts/malls. The Marketplace, The Square, Spectrum, Pacific City, BellaTerra, and Fashion Island.
If you want Mexican, you could go to a place like Moreno’s, La Serena, or Mario’s.
There’s In-N-Out. (I personally think it’s overrated though).
BJ’s, Lazy Dog, and Hangar 24 are also pretty good options.
If you want good seafood you could head to Bear Flag.
If you want a spectacular smoothie, Néktar is your place. (It is pretty pricy though)
There’s Selanne Steak Tavern.
Roma D’ Italia, Urban Plates.
What type of food do you want?

I would expect his value to be a third without retention and a second with retention. Possibly a bit more depending on the team. Moving him in the offseason likely doesn't get the best return as there are more options out there. I would be fine with trading a third for him but not a second. Buffalo is likely better off to retain half and then trade him to a team at the deadline. I don't see them wanting to retain for a whole season considering how frugal the team usually is at spending excess money.

He's also salty that Ross Colton is likely to be traded and that you put together a good offer for him. I applaud you and thanks for truthing that user about our organization.</div></div> Let's all read this article in the Athletic:
https://theathletic.com/522117/2018/09/13/islanders-goalie-robin-lehner-opens-up-about-his-addiction-and-bipolar-diagnosis-i-could-not-stand-being-alone-in-my-brain/?ref=diebytheblade.com
Robin had nothing but praise for Jason Botterill:
"During this whole process our GM in Buffalo was so incredibly supportive. We met when I came back and had a great and productive discussion. Jason and the Sabres organization had decided to move on from me as their goalie and, in the end, my family and I thought a restart would be the best thing. <strong>I still wanted to stay if they wanted me.</strong> But deep inside I knew changing scenery would be the best thing for my recovery. Now what to do. My relationship with Jason didn’t end in that meeting. He contacted me during the summer a few times to check in on me. His check-ins still continue today, despite me not being on his team." So let's put that to rest.
Bogosian walked away from $5,000,000 to sign for $1,300,000, then took two more pay cuts to $1,000,000 in '21 and $850,000 now.
He was a really bad defenseman in Buffalo and could have received his full salary but he CHOSE to walk away.
He was not treated unfairly.
No other team wanted his salary so why would the Sabres.
Whether Zach was a crackhead or not, he acted as if he was.
He, along with Kane, was not a good fit in Buffalo.
Eichel, well maybe you can tell me how a team can lose Ullmark, McCabe, Montour, Ristolainen, Reinhart along with Jack and improve?
Jack was a lazy prima donna on the ice and now it is fairly obvious that he was a problem in the locker room.
Let me close, Thompson, Cozens and Samuelsson all took long term below market value contracts, do not be surprised if Power and Dahlin follow suit.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canucks33</b></div><div>By far the biggest sin in my books is the complete void in international best on best play. Crosby and McDavid have not played together at all which is a sin against hockey itself.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>Well he kept the Sabres in Buffalo despite many wanting the franchise to relocate after the owner's debacle, so I will be forever grateful for that at least. IMO his biggest drawbacks to his time as commish were the two lock-outs (obviously that sucks for all parties) and his failure to expand the game in Canada, where I think there are at least 2-3 markets that could support NHL teams and be very successful (Quebec, Hamilton, Halifax/Regina). For all I know he may have explored some of those options, but I doubt he did. Keeping franchises like Arizona around just doesn't make sense long-term to me, and I love the Coyotes team</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Skyraider112</b></div><div>Sorokin better be your starter, without him this team is wiped off the playoff board in 4 games easily</div></div>
for whatever reason CF always defaults to this order when you're doing an Isles ACGM, guessing they just forgot to swap Sorokin into the #1 spot.
as far as the lines, I think this will be more or less what happens, with Clutterbuck drawing in for Holmstrom and keeping that line together for what's probably their last ride. Holmstrom's the first winger in if someone needs a game.
Other than that this is a good team that should be able to be a real PITA to get past. Nobody calls penalties in the playoffs so the abysmal PP isn't going to be as much of a factor, and Sorokin is one of the few goalies in the league capable of absolutely stealing a series.

Year Two of My Thoughts
Just out of curiosity what proposal within reason would make it go from "probably" to "absolutely?" Having it be a 2023 2nd instead of 2024? Or adding a Bish prospect?[/quote]
No, Rosen and a 2nd is a very solid offer. I'd take that. I only say "probably" because our new GM Davidson has yet to make a trade where part of the return to the Hawks is a high end prospect. He seems to favor picks over prospects. For all I know, he may not want Rosen (he should!) and the ask might be a 1st or two 2nds.
