Also funny how you characterize Anisimov as being worth nothing, but you also think him plus spare parts gets you Hammer+ Hino.</div></div>
Read what you wrote. I value AA highly, hence the asking for H&H. Just give it a rest guy

You wouldn’t know, but there not a lot of trades the Blackhawks can execute. Because of this I’m okay with trying to stretch trades and make risks to see what people think.</div></div>
I'm giving you too much time of day but my final note, a conditional 2nd for Hayes is laughable. Hartman got a first and a prospect. Terms be damned you're on something if you think you can only give a conditional second and "nothing" for Hayes

well considering Panarin's not on the rangers that "chemistry" is hard to execute =D....but yeah you make amazing trade offers....clearly everyone agrees with you ;)

Saad is also just 26 years old, with term on his contract. Why gamble on a chance of getting an NHL player in Tolvanen and a first when you know what your getting with Saad.
For the Blackhawks it’s simple, get some lottery tickets and replenish the core. We’re not winning, and Saad will be a UFA by the time we compete.</div></div>

Hawks stay put, here's the lineup
Jokiharju only makes the team if he plays in the top six. Don't think it'd be good for his development to sit a large number of game. I think Kahun has a better chance than Fortin to make the NHL club. Fortin struggled last year and dealt with injuries.
I like the D pairing, and Hillman as the 7th. AA makes sense on the Kane line but I'm hoping (praying) that Edjell can be effective on that line as a big body that can go to the net.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Do you want me to show you examples of teams that have signed a player a rookie and traded him before he played for the NHL team he signed with?
It's a business. It happens a lot more then you realize. Just how do you think we got Edjsell? C'mon, give me a break. I know Hawks fans see Kahun as the possibility to be the next Panarin but look as his play in the DEL. He certainly has the chance to be a 20 to 30 goal scorer and a solid 2nd or 3rd line option but he's not the 2nd coming of Kane like Panarin was.</div></div>
They had him under contract for a year, it's not like Kahun who was signed a couple months ago. It really doesn't happen, and it absolutely reflects poorly on teams that would do it.
As for Kahun's talent level, I don't think he makes the team. He'll probably be called up at some point but he's not going to score 30 a year even if he plays with Kane

No, teams never do that. It'd be different if he had played for the team and they extended him, like Hino. And think about it, would you want to sign with a team that signs and trades people immediately?

The CAR trade is far off value wise. Also, Hawks aren't trading Kahun before he plays a game in the organization considering they just signed him. Do you realize how bad that would look for the Hawks?

The real stan
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JackBurton</b></div><div>Definitely they do, I'm just saying I don't think Stan wanted to run from that contract at all. Rather, I think he was stoked to sign Seabs to that contract. But the gamble on that one, and 19&88's contracts, were that the cap would go up to 80mil like the rat faced **** Bettman said it would. Big mistake to believe that line...
At the time, I was down with the Hammer-Murphy trade. I loved Hammer, I have one of his sweaters, but he had so much wear on his body from being a warrior for the team, and I actually loved that Stan made a savage deal to trade him for a younger, more cost controlled Connor Murphy, who seemed to be terribly mismanaged by AZ... Welp, Murph is not without his own failings, but as I said on one of ChiHawk's posts, I think Murph has a far better year this year.
The Laurent Dauphin thing was just ******* bizarre, and I have no idea what to make of that. Did Stan get fleeced? Was Dauphin some kind of issue and they wanted him gone? Who the hell knows...</div></div>
I think (and god willing hope) Murphy will be a lot better next year....as in top 4D....it might be a reach, but if the hawks are going to be competitive he needs to be. I loved Hammer too....and I felt like the Q (according to the rumors where he stormed out of the building when he heard of the trade), and was pissed. But when I settled down I realized what Stan was trying to do (or learn from his past mistakes).
And I have no idea about Dauphin.....I thought he could be a piece but who knows what happened with that

The real stan
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JackBurton</b></div><div>I would agree with you, except that interview that Stan did about a month or two ago, I can't recall who with, but he was asked something about being worried about Seabs' contract as a future albatross, and Stan gave this kind of offended look and said "Seabrooks contract? I'm not worried about that contract." Like he couldn't believe he was being asked that question. Which made me wonder many things about his sanity and judgment, but it seemed very clear to me in that moment that the contract was his doing.
I love Seabs, but he's the victim of the game changing dramatically in a very short amount of time to being a speed race, and he's too fat for that. When he came to camp in 2016, he looked lean as hell. But that sadly changed halfway through the season and he's been struggling since. It's on him to come into camp again this year lean, and really work on his foot speed, and maybe we're not having these conversations anymore.</div></div>
You're absolutely right about Seabs game....and again I could be wrong...but I think the business side had a LOT of say in the core contract extensions.
And if I'm wrong about that (which i absolutely could be), then that's the reason stan traded Hammer. He was afraid to repeat the same mistake

I know everyone thinks their jobs are on the line....but I'm not so sure they are....I think they had internal discussions, and they both have at least one year plus to prove the future is bright...but again, i could be wrong....
I guess to me, it all comes down to.... one goal ........ and if thats still the goal

If we still believe in "one goal" , then this season is another transition year.
But thats just my opinion</div></div>
And it hurts to say this. Because you're right....it's wasting another year of the core...but i just don't see anyway this team can compete for the cup next year....playoffs, yeah....but thats not the goal....right?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Do you have a better idea? Hawks desperately need a LW and 1st line RHD. If they don't get both those pieces, you can count on them having a lottery draft pick next year while wasting another year of the aging core of Crawford, Keith, Toews, Seabs and Kane. They need to make moves now for 2 top line players or just do a total rebuild which they aren't going to do.</div></div>

Kahun can get traded. Signing a guy and trading him right away is not that uncommon.</div></div>
Yes it is uncommon to sign and trade a player when they haven't played one game for you.
Hillman is far from dynamic....he'll be lucky to play 20 games in the NHL next year
