Why not
You want a 50 point scorer AND a great DMan for a 39 point scorer. Be prepared to get annihilated by Toronto fans.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Logan_Ollivier</b></div><div>Way too wishful my friend. Sandin has so much potential, Walker is at best a 2nd pair defender and hasn't been able to stay healthy long enough to really think he'll be more than a 3rd pair guy. You don't get Sandin for that.</div></div>
Yet "any team" will be willing to trade 3rd and 4th rd picks for him. One year of Kulikov brought back nothing. Two years of Walker, 8 teams can afford his 2.65 cap at the moment, will cost.

Once any 2023 draft pick is talked about Philly is out. Unless it's Montreal's going back to Philly. Bedard will fill the Center spot.

Position of strengths evaporate quickly. Doughty played 37 games, Walker 6 and Roy 67. Walker and Roy are fa in two years just when Clarke and Grans are ready. Like someone said LA already traded from strength when they traded Faber.

Final Adjustments
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>Minni has 5.7m in cap space right now (running a 20 person roster. adding 3.5m makes it 2.2m to add another play to make it 22. Boldy and Rossi both have performance bonus potential but that totals a max of 1.45m. It works.
Leafs would need to drop to 21 man roster to be cap complaint when Lily comes back. Which is fine.</div></div>
Why does Minnesota pay for the privilege of helping the Leafs out of their cap problem? They lose a 2nd for good cap management? They just gave away Kulikov to clear space.

Final Adjustments
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TMLBRIAN</b></div><div>They would highly consider this package. They may not do it, but this is a serious package for him. LA has a stacked right D. Holl is a serviceable as well.
LA would trade Roy 1 for 1 for Chychrun. That's a circumstance... There is a price for everyone :P</div></div>
Sandin would 100% be part of the trade. Trading a RHD with term, a #1RHD with term, for a #3 RHD, doubt Holl beats out Doughty or Durzi, is a nonstarter. Sandin, Hirvonen/Knies. LA's choice and an extremely late 1st might get their attention.

Stralman retired and I'd guess 900K doesn't change his mind.
Arizona probably takes that trade. They have a top 5 pick line up and this trade makes it worse.

I believe the move is to send Holloway and Broberg down to maximize the bonus part of the relief. The LTIR explanation on this site is more complicated than the actual LTIR rules. Edmonton immediately recalls the once the LTIR pools are set.

Cap next year is estimated at 83.5 mil
Looks like more 'other things' than a goalie trade. Obviously Husso >>> Georgiev. Colorado adds for talent and term.
One year of Toews is tough to determine. Better off staying away from Rodriguez and Rasmussen, not sign Erik Johnson, hope Kaut and Foudy are ready and keep Toews,

The CAP will/should be 83.5 mil.
Why wouldn't LAK just sign Graves, who is still young and plays big minutes, 4 years 3 mil a year and keep their 2 1st rd picks? If Col already signed him then their bargaining power is nonexistent.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Richard88</b></div><div>No thanks to a Graves reunion. His play in game 7 against Dallas and the entire Vegas series were huge reasons why the Avs lost those series. Rather spend that money elsewhere or give Behrens a shot.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>deviner92</b></div><div>Not sure it's about moving the needle at this point, more about moving a distraction / disgruntled player</div></div>
Why give him away for free? Chances are the Sabres already know Johnson isn't going to sign. Being the 5th/6th LHD in the system doesn't make a player any money. He'd be in the same situation on the Rangers. Behind guys already in the AHL. Then battling for a 15 minute a game 3rd pair LHD. Why sign there?
Puljujarvi was disgruntled with EDM. One year away and he was back. Kratsov in NYR. Pilut on the Sabres left and is back. Happens.

hague and deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>With Patrick and an AHL call up forward to have 14 F, sending Thompson back down to the AHL to carry 2 goalies, and currently having D on contract, they are sitting at 2.6 mil in cap space. For a team that's as injury prone as the Knights, I wouldn't consider carrying an undersized roster.
Kings are a poor choice of trade partner for Klingberg, they already have a way more RD than they need, theres no reason for them to pick up.
San Jose is also not likely, I think everyone knows they are about to enter a long, LONG dark period. Vlassic has a 3 team trade list next season, they are retaining burns for 3 years, and still have the EK's Albatross of a contract weighting them down and the Jones buyout. If we are going to do a deal with San Jose, I want to pry Meier from them.</div></div>
If Patrick plays another NHL game it would be surprising.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>themostleaf33</b></div><div>And you know this how? Dubas moved 13 spots back to dump 3 years of Mrazek. I think Buffalo would jump all over that if he offered it to them, I know the Leafs would have when they were in their own rebuild. The more 1st round picks the better, and it maybe allows you to move up in the first round if your more interested in quality over quantity.</div></div>
The more picks in the 2023 draft the better. Take out the 2023 2nd and Buffalo may bite. Muzzin is an easy buyout for a 1st rd pick.

Not sure what the Rangers are looking for but that's not it. They can get Kaut on waivers or have to expose him to waivers. LHD isn't really a problem and Leivermann may not sign. I'd guess they'd let him play in Sweden, Lundqvist and Sandin would be a pretty good pairing there, until he wants to come back before taking that deal.

It's a tough call. No 2023 1st. Robertson is the only one close, and he hasn't shown much in the NHL, Kerfoot could be flipped later but takes up a retention spot, and the rest are crap shots.
Montreal passes. They don't want anything that may make their team better, they have 3 RHD and don't want to waste a retention spot later to trade Holl.
