Make it a conditional 2025 1st/2nd and replace Heidt with a lesser prospect. Nelson's fine, but not worth a lottery pick and a top prospect. Especially when he only has one season left in his deal and is getting old.

I'm pretty sure Minnesota wouldn't trade Faber for Marner 1 for 1 too. Imagine the cap gymnastics they would have to go through this summer adding an 11M player with the buyouts they have

Minnesota declines that. Almost out of purgatory, they can get better returns on both players individually if needed.

Rossi and Chychrun
Yes, Rossi could be dealt. If the price is right. That's the important part.
This offer here gets you Rossi's autograph, nothing else.

Habs should at least consider trading Guhle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jonh514</b></div><div>Listen it's debatable for sure but... When you look at the total number of shots and the shooting percentages, I have a very hard time thinking Caufield won't out-score Boldy next year.</div></div>
I don't see what would lead you to believe that.
Let's discount this season as far as shooting percentage goes because it's obvious from the fall-off in Caufield's that he hasn't made a complete recovery from his surgery yet. His historical shooting/scoring rate is 14.1%. Boldy's is 12.6%. Assuming each player takes 330 shots next season, that's five goals in Caufield's favor. Given the 50% disparity in assists in Boldy's favor and the fact that he plays with Kirill Kaprizov, I think that Caufield's goal surplus is likely to be swallowed up in the overall comparison. And it should also be noted that Boldy took almost 90 fewer shots this season than Caufield did.
Matt Boldy is one of the most underrated players in the NHL right now.

I can't see Minnesota trading their only potential candidate for #2C next season for an expensive lame duck winger (the over-the-horizon second doesn't come close to making up for that).

You aren't getting that for Jarry.

Probably not getting that for Acciari either.

I'm sure that we'd all love to ship DuBois off somewhere so the return is secondary, but as a practical matter, I don't think Blake, Robitaille and Bergevin can admit this mistake and keep their jobs.

Sens Offseason
Minnesota has 12 forwards under contract for next season already plus RFA Mason Shaw and kids who might get promoted from Iowa, so Mark Kastelic isn't much more than a throwaway throw-in. The difference between one season of Jakob Chychrun and one season of Jake Middleton (whom Minnesota will be able to afford to re-sign much more easily than Chychrun) can't be all that much, especially given that even with the retention, Chychrun's contract is under water while Middleton's is economical. I doubt that the Wild would do this even if you took out the first.

Sens Offseason
I don't see that being something the Wild consider.
Middleton is pretty much exactly what they need in their defense at a good cap hit and they should be trying to get more guys like him. Giving up a 1st and other picks for a move they don't really need to make when they should be looking for a top 6 LW seems like a bad idea. He's definitely not a guy that needs to be dumped for cap space, they're not as cap strapped this year as people on this site seem to think. lol

second attempt
It seems to me that Tkachuk and Kaprizov at LW (as <a href="/users/RazWild" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@RazWild</a> says) is pretty much a wash with Kaprizov at LW and Boldy at RW (as RazWild says), so I don't see this trade as a good idea for Minnesota at all. You guys already know what you have in Rossi and Lambos, whereas you have no idea what will be available at the Boston pick, and he certainly won't be a significant roster player in 2024-2025 as you already know Marco Rossi will be, never mind prime prospect Carson Lambos.

Not shot Minnesota trades Faber. In a Bedard-less Calder race, he’d win easily.
If the Ducks need a RHD I’d rather take a shot with Levshunov

If Marco Rossi is good enough to play #2C for St. Louis behind Robert Thomas, then he's good enough to play #2C behind Joel Eriksson Ek, so why would the Wild give him up? Rossi is coming into his own now, and the 16th overall selection in June isn't likely to produce a replacement until 2026.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JPM</b></div><div>Is Rossi that good? I wouldn’t do that trade for him. Laughton would probably be worth more at trade deadline, definitely was with the going price for centers.</div></div>
The health bit really cant be emphasized enough. He very well could have died through covid and then overcoming the mental aspects while youve been physically limited for so long.. I wouldnt wish that on anyone.
I'm a Sens fan but watch a lot of 67's game and the CHL cancelling the playoffs really took an opportunity away from Quinn and Rossi to showcase their talents on the biggest stage. Likely wouldve won the league and competed for a Memorial Cup. All that to say he's been dealt the short end of the stick consistently since he's been drafted and as much as Quinn is coveted by the Sabres and every trade involving him gets torn to shreds by Sabres fans, I think Rossi may still be better. Give him time to catch up on the missed development but i think he can do more than 55/season, very few players i root for more than him.
I know Zamula and Lauhgton are good pieces for Philly but this trade would be a steal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MNCountryClub</b></div><div>Hard to say what it would take for Rossi. I do think Guerin is taking calls on him this summer, but with another year of 14.7M in dead cap and Rossi having 1 more on his ELC, there's no urgency or incentive.
My best guess is that he'd be looking for a young d-man or a termed scoring winger, but who knows.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FloppyBiscuit</b></div><div>Rossi is worth around what you'd value Foerster. Same age, similar production. Why are the Wild moving one of their two good centers for another winger? Let's make it make sense.

Offseason Rossi Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Danny_MrGM_Briere</b></div><div>I get that but they do get Frost back. Maybe switch in another young guy instead of Marat but I wanted him because he and Michkov both played on Sochi in this KHL season</div></div>
You're just not getting Marco Rossi out of the Wild. He's projected to be their #2C of the future and he hasn't disappointed them yet.
You have to admit that so far, Frost doesn't look like more than a bottom-6 center and he turns 25 next month, which means that whatever team holds his rights next summer is going to have to decide after only one season the length and size of his long-term contract or else trade him. With that reality in mind, I can see the possibility of Minnesota exchanging the three-years-younger Kiss-My-Thing-Off for Frost, but if either of the two has a future as a top-6 center, it's the Russian, not Frost.
