Anderson had 32 points in 21-22 n 22-23. This past year he didn't do great but he also is getting the holtz treatment where he is getting 8 mins a game. A change of scenery could b good for him. He's been about a .4 ppg player over the past 3 years n to get that for $2.75 a year for the next 3 yrs isn't bad.

I'm guessing u always underpay in these. Zadorov will get 5 mill a year. We'll revisit this when he gets a contract. Trenin will also get around 2 a year n is a solid 3rd line player

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stadel</b></div><div>Not arguing value here but I think Samuelssons age keeps him a sabre unless it’s a swap for someone in that same age range</div></div>
Marino is only 26 yrs old n has 3 yrs left on his contract. I added that bc I saw a lot of sabres n devils fan agreeing that would b a hockey trade n fill both of our needs.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NJDevils1317</b></div><div>Palat isn't waiving for CHI. C'mon.
Also, trading our top shutdown LHD for an awful contract, even at 50% is...a move....yeesh</div></div>
I only put Chicago bc they have the space. Pretty much give a 3rd to any team willing to take on palats contract. Doesn't matter where he goes.
Siegs would b on the 3rd pair if we got zadorov n Samuelson. I can't see having him on the 3rd pair making $3.4 so Id put bahl in the position n trade him for a player who still has some potential n could possibly just need a change of scenery. It's worth a shot

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NHLfan10506</b></div><div>Kurtis MacDermid $9m?
I would….
- Pay MacDermid $775,000
- Nix the TBL deal (are cheaper alternatives out there)
- Nix the OTT deal (Marino to Smith is HUGE downgrade)
- Nix the MTL deal
- Draft Liam Greentree or best dman available
- Use 4th in BOS deal to add retention from 3rd team
+ 0.9 Holtz
+ 6.0 Palat
+ 4.4 Marino
- 2.7 Jeannot
- 8.2 MacDermid correction
- 2.5 Ullmark retention
That should provide about $2m more cap space (along with $1.5m already above), that should give $3.5m to find another dman or bottom-six center (to replace Bowers).</div></div>
Obviously I put an extra 0 for mcdermid lol. I thought I put him at 900k. I also like Greentree but I would trade back bc I think he's going around 15. I really liked Bowers play the past couple games n don't think he'd b a bad 4th line.
I'd like to sign zadorov if we can find the cap space to replace marino. I'm not a fan of marino

I was actually thinking about this exact trade yesterday. If Montreal has the 4th or 5th pick n Lindstrom is available I would do this trade in a heartbeat.

You mean 3rd line winger, future AHL star dman and top 10 pick this year.</div></div>
I wouldn't trade mercer for any player on the flames in a 1v1. He's a top 6 winger n is 21 yo. Casey is one of the best dman prospects in the league right now n will b nhl ready in the next 2 yrs.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>but again, there has to be a reason for the low opportunity ice time. coaches don't just shoot themselves in the foot.</div></div>
Our top 6 is pretty stacked with mercer toffoli Meier bratt on the wings. He does shoot himself in the foot. Hence y he just got fired. The one game he put Lazar on Hughes line n kept holtz on the 4th. Ruff was a bozo n doesn't know how to use his players. Y he never won a cup in 30 yrs of coaching

He is getting north of 11 minutes TOI per game, so it's not like he's completely void of opportunity. Are his issues defensive? the bruins certainly don't have much time to let guys develop their defensive game in the top six - that's never been their style.</div></div>
Hes playing on our 4th line most nights with Lazar, Bastian, halonen, or whoever else they bring up. He's ok defensively but not great. He does play the body more than ppl think. Hed b great if he goes to a team n has consistent linemates n a coach that believes in him

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>I think I've got some issues with that devils trade, but I'm not 100% sure.
Devils fans, what do you think of Bahl. All I really know is that he's huge, is trusted with about 16 minutes of ice time, and they usually start him in his own end. of course, tossing him on the top pair is ridiculous as the original poster suggested they do, but I'm just curious if folks think he can be a legit top four guy or if he's going to be in that 16-17 minute range.
i'm not really high on holtz. definitely worth taking a shot on, but I don't view him as a must get.
I think Vanecek is a huge negative. I think he's basically $3M+ in dead money for boston, so I would scratch him from the deal.</div></div>
Bahl is a solid 3rd pairing dman. Its only his second year so hes still making some mistakes n being out of position from time to time but then again no one on our team is in position.
Holtz is the one with all the potential. He can easily b a 30 goal scorer 60 pt player. I think holtz will b a solid once he gets traded . Ruff just doesn't use him at all. Holtz is stuck on the 4th line getting 6 mins a game n if he's on the ice when one of the Hughes brothers mess up then Lindy benches holtz instead of Luke or Jack.

Bottom 6 r dime a dozen. Next yr Hamilton is back n Hughes n nemec have another yr of experience. Hopefully marino n seigs return to their normal self. Goalie is the 1 major need so I'd rather overspend n get a top 10.

To retain 2.5 will cost at least a 4th alone n then to get a 3rd line player is worth a 3rd or 4th. I think he'll go for a 2nd or a 3rd n 5th. He can play all 3 positions n center r scarce right now
