<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mitch11</b></div><div>Not bad... I have a couple of concerns though. For one, I don't think Statsny is going to be willing to go to Montreal. He doesn't seem to have a lot of interest in going East unless it is going to get him immediate success. That said, the money is probably pretty close. Secondly, why trade so much good stuff (for the future most likely) to Buffalo if you are not even playing Bogosian?! You may as well just trade a few prospects and a 1st/2nd for O'Reilly or something. Not to mention, what is the point of making a decent trade to improve your draft picks in a STACKED draft, and then just trading one of these picks in order to get Bogosian and a 7th? My only other concern is that Galchenyuk doesn't seem like a third liner to me, but I guess I see why he is there with this decent lineup. Overall, despite my concerns, I think this is not bad at all, it is quite good.</div></div>

The reason to take Bogosian was financial, as I think the Sabres are not happy with his contract, and the Habs can afford the cap hit and cash outlay better.

This avoids having to trade Galchenyuk for O'Reilly, and we end up with three offensive lines, any one of which could break a game open.

De La Rose is the wild card as I think he has the wheels to keep up offensively and the instincts to hold the defensive fort with his wingers, but they can always switch him with Danault if necessary. I have it my way because I have seen Danault contribute offensively playing with bottom six wingers before.

Sujet: What If?
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mitch11</b></div><div>I think that your ideas are pretty good. My concern is that the trades might be a bit bold for the other teams, namely Minnie. I would say that you actually overpaid for Miller and that keeping Byron should be a goal. I think that this lineup is possible except that Perron will be a tough guy to sign.</div></div>

I think that Miller be will be in demand and Yzerman knows that Habs really need a center, that's why I overpay. I understand your point. On Byron, knowing that hes UFA after the season I think Habs should get as much value as possible for him. I think that if Minnesota can negociate a multi year extension with Pacioretty, they would be willing to make that kind of trade, especially after Coyle and Eriksson disappointing productions. You could replace the 3rd rounder by a 2nd rounder.

And on Perron, I know he came really close to sign with MTL last time he was a UFA. It was between STL and MTL (he chose the best team and his first home in the NHL )With Karlsson to re-sign, and may be Neal, it's very possible VGK let him go.

I appreciate your comments. The point of this exercise is to show that the real problem is the GM and that hes not using his assets to improve the team while it would be easy todo. He doesnt want to admit his numerous mistakes and he cant develop his young players. Last season, Habs had the weakest C line in the league (and its been the case for awhile) and probably the worst D corps (the slowest one for sure). Last season was very predictable. Blaming this on players attitude and his comments about having a better defense at the beginning of the season while he had a mediocre team on paper just proved how much he has no vision and no clue about what hes doing.
