Getting bigger and harder to play against
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lancebmx</b></div><div>I understand.
But yeah, been down this Krug hole alot. Doesn't make sense for us with where we are, unless like I said significant compensation which the Blues aren't or at least shouldn't be willing to do.
I think the Blues are going to have a couple transition years. Ride out the few years left of Krug, Leddy, Saad (not saying he's bad). Stockpile some decent picks and prospects. Trade Buch for a decent haul. Then inject the youth and this team should be good again in a few years.
I think the next few years are going to be similar to this year. Fringe playoff team but not bad enough to get a top pick.</div></div>
Pretty much spot on

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlyOrDie20</b></div><div>Bigger may not be accurate here. You are trading away two 6’3’ and one 6’5 guy for a 5’9 6’2 and 6’3 guy.</div></div>
Right on I was meaning heavier, meaner tougher on pucks with Perron we know what him and Maroon can bring. Adding those two with Zadorov, Frederic and Chiarot would bring a much different look. Would hate to trade Buch and Torpo in this scenario but is what it is

I’m saying regarding Krugs contract it will be easier to move with 3 years left instead of 4 like the guy originally said. After next season it then moves to a Modified clause. Armstrong already had a deal with Philly last offseason with Philly for Sanheim. Not like he will be unmovable forever imo.
I was not meaning Krug is easier to trade than Chiarot or anything like that

Fair enough. I’d pass. If we would just add a one timer threat like Perron on the pp Krug would look a lot better. I’m not excited about Chiarot either but if you lose Ghost a swap here could benefit both teams

Definitely…both players would be going home. Two of Hayes best games of the season were against the Bruins. I think he would really be motivated playing in Boston

Fair enough. Not a good fit then I guess.
But, lets pretend Faulk was a free agent after the season and the Canucks lost in the 2nd round this year. Myers and Cole are gone as UFAs. On the right side you have Hronek and maybe Juulsen. Faulk is still way too expensive at 3 x 6.5? I dont know I think hes a pretty good player. Was definitely our best dman last year
I dont really want to move him I can just see the Blues are not close to winning unless they get superior goaltending every night.

Give your head a shake bud</div></div>
I didnt say you WILL regress I say it can happen fast. Ask blues fans. i believe if you have the team and you are ready to win you go for it. I would think Willander is at minimum 2 years away.
I looked at Garland like you guys may want to get out of that contract. You sure did before the season. Kapanen is a bit bigger, very fast and fesity. He would fit well with Joshua and Blueger. I dont even want Garland in the deal to be honest. I was trying to make the $ work.

I dont even want Garland. Needed to make the money work. An undersized and overpaid winger. Y'all can keep him. In my trade proposal I was trying to let you guys upgrade two positions. Seeing what NJD sent San Jose for Timo Meier didnt think Willander and a 1st is an unreasonable ask.
Agreed this hasnt been Faulks best work I think he can and will play better here coming up. He's coming off injury and has been trying to get his footing.

Yes, if available for you go for it. Will Willander be a top 4 on a cup contender in Vancouver? I dont know. Maybe. This is your best chance to win in many many years. Maybe Buch and Faulk arent your guys. thats fine. You should find someone who is because this is the year and it can fall off the rails quickly.

Cope a little harder? Lmao! We would be giving up the two best players in the deal. No doubt in my mind. When Tyler Myers coughs one up at the wrong time in the playoffs and the Canucks are out (like he has done his entire career) come back and see me. I wouldnt mind having Willander as a future partner for Lindstein who is played with at the WJC but I wont lose an ounce of sleep over it. There are other players out there. He may or may not pan out and I suppose if they really wanted Willander that much they would have just drafted him but instead they picked him Dvorsky with the 10th pick last year.
By the way you ought to think about selling the future. You've never won jack and you got the team this year. No guarantee your team even plays well next year or the year after and you are in a division where the VGK will do everything they can to win and you play against the best player on the planet. When you have the team go for it. Your window can close real freakin quick.

You guys know you are right there to win a cup. Tom Willander looks to be a good prospect but its a longshot he is even as good or has as good a career as someone like Faulk.
Thought you wanted to get out of the Garland contract and Kuzmenko doesnt fit. Before the season you guys wanted to do anything you could to get rid of Meyers.
Buchy is a huge upgrade in your top six and Faulk is a huge upgrade over someone like Meyers. Neither are UFAs. Tom Willander is hardly a massive price to pay for these upgrades. Once you put a name to some of these 1st round picks they really do become untouchable to fanbases.

Predicting where every player gets traded to
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMDannyB</b></div><div>Is every insider being used then? Freidman, Seravalli, Pagnotta, etc have all talked about various flyers players over the last week. So is Danny using all of them or are they all helping Danny? Hard to believe they are all doing Danny favors for no reason, that’s almost as ridiculous as the Blues fans meltdown on here lol. Again, since u think I personally impact the NHL market I will tell u again since I didn’t understand the first time, I PERSONALLY don’t impact the NHL market, only GMs do that. I remember when Blues fans on here said the Provy would barely get traded for a 3rd when the mock trades were going around for him and look how that turned out lol. Everyone is used to pushing Chuck Fletcher around in trades, maybe just MAYBE the Flyers have a competent GM who set a value for his players and is sticking to it and insiders are just reporting what they know and aren’t all lying in a big conspiracy to help the flyers lol, maybe Bettman is in on it! 😂😂😂</div></div>
Lol what are you talking about man....who ever said or would believe you impact anything. One thing is clear you are one of the Flyers fans that think Travis Konecny is basically untouchable worth multiple firsts and prospects without taking back any $. He has never produced anything in the playoffs and isnt that great. He is part of the core that does nothing but lose.
Torey Krug who everyone considers overpaid and a cap dump has basically kept pace with him on the score sheet since 2016-2017 when Konecny came in to the league. Krug has 13 less pts in 28 less games. Yes, Krug is overpaid by about 2-2.5 mil per but Konecny is no world beater. A first and a prospect like Perunovich, Bolduc or Neighbors is more then fair for this player and if its not I think Danny B will be hanging on to him for a while longer. Im confident he wont get a better deal from the Blues unless he eats a contract.
Danny Briere can ask for whatever he wants and leak it to the "insiders" doesnt mean he gets it. That doesnt mean the insiders are helping Danny that means they are doing there jobs and leaking information.
Any Blues fan that thought Provorov would move for a third is silly. He is a top 4 defenseman worse case scenario.
Tell me what do you think TK moves for from the Blues and/or another organization? I think you look at what Fiala was dealt in the offseason and thats your comp and he was coming off an 85 point season. Id rather have Fiala.

What’s funny is Flyers fans who all of a sudden think Sanheim/Konecny/Laughton/Provorov are all worth 2-3 1st rounders if not more when none of them have ever produced anything in the playoffs or won anything together.
This core was awful and now all of a sudden on the trade market as they are all superstars.
Let’s take Konecny for example an undersized winger with 2 years left at 5.5 who has produced a whopping 1 goal in 22 career playoff games and y’all want 2 1st round picks + top prospects and other assets. For his career averages anywhere from high 40s to low 60s point totals. What gives?
Pavel Buchnevich was acquired for a 2nd and Blais.
Fiala a 1st and a college prospect Faber
What makes Konecny worth any more then these guys

I think Chabot is a bit better then you are giving him credit for. Fine we can hold Kyrou. I think he can play better and improve on D but the biggest hole on this team is a number 1 D. If you can find one Kyrou should not be off the table. I’d be down with Hanifin or Miller as well but it’s going to hurt. None of these guys are coming here for a late 1st and spare parts
