No one outside of Toronto wants an 11 mil 3C</div></div>
Let says hypothetical JT gets moved to the ducks in the package I have made. They can flip him 50% retained at the deadline for another first. So they get 2 1st for holding 50% retention

You'll have to buy him out or atleast retain 50%.
I say just keep him. That's a preposterous amount to spend on 3 RHD and I'd rather have Tavares than betuzzi and domi</div></div>
Thanks for your opinion but it’s invalid. Tavares over Domi and Bertuzzi?? I know we haven’t made it very far in the playoffs and this is exactly why. Let’s get rid of the playoff goons

Minten and Niemela shouldn't be Leafs in October .
I'm so amazed by so many Leaf fans. Seems like Kampf, Jarnkrok, Robertson, Liljegren who make a total of 6.3m are to blame for any of the Leafs misfortunes.</div></div>
1 .Jarnkrok is still on the team
2. I like Kampfs game but to pay a 4th liner 2.4 mil when you can get better production for cheaper (Dewar) would be stupid… especially with the fact we are tight on cap
3. Robertson is unhappy with his situation and won’t likely ever be a lock in our top 6 so you give him an opportunity to grow while recouping assets
4. Don’t know if you watched the Boston games but Liljergren doesn’t have a competitive or physical bone in his body. You will never win multiple playoff rounds with that guy

JT Trade in the offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>It's such a ridiculous thought, that Tavares is waiving his NMC, and has suggested, even a buyout doesn't help the cap.
Isn't is kinda funny how Leafs fans hate their aging players....Tavares and Brodie. But somehow signing near 30 year old Lindholm to four years (as his seven points in seventeen games with the Canucks)
and Pesce and Roy to contracts that take them age 34 and 35. is so wise to some.
Minten and Niemela shouldn't be NHLers in October, and Dewar shouldn't be a 3C
Kampf has M NTC. You really think he waives to Arizona?</div></div>
Since analyzing isn’t your strong suit. I have Dewar as a 4c not 3c

And last thing this team needs is to lose picks for nothing. JT is fine</div></div>
The pick is going to turn into nothing and could’ve been dealt this past deadline for a rental. At least this way you’re clearing cap to get a replacement, adding big name d-men while also keeping playoff guys (Bert and Domi)

Colton and more
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>You Leafs guys gotta stop with the Matt-Roy-to-Toronto trades. It ain't happening.
Matt Roy is the Kings' best defensive defenseman, and doubly critical to Los Angeles while his defense partner is week-to-week. Trading him would be tantamount to abandoning any hope of going far in the playoffs and maybe even reaching them in the first place unless they got an asset of equal and immediate value in return. My conviction is that the only guy on your roster for whom they would trade Roy is Morgan Reilly*, and that ain't happening because he's untouchable.
* because it's inconceivable that one of the Big Four would be available</div></div>
I think you need to learn to read… description says not realistic

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SomeonesOffended</b></div><div>Even if he would resign which he won’t leafs aren’t paying this much leafs pass on all minten trades and we aren’t trading our best RHD this year, and we aren’t trading 2 1sts so there is no options, Hanifin if he’s traded cause he’s currently talking extension with the flames he goes to NJ Boston or Arizona, there’s been zero rumours of Hanifin to Toronto lol because they know he won’t resign</div></div>
Let me clarify a few things
1. This is a mock trade with what I would like to see and what I believe would put them in a position to win.
2. I believe if Brad got a package like that he’s saying bye to Minten
3. The fact we are saying Brodie has been our best right hand d says a lot and trading him would benefit the team
4. Instead of hating you could take a second to look at the packages I only have 1 first going out the door
5. Brodies contract is done at the end of this season clearing 5 mill. How are you so certain they would fork over maybe 7 to hanifin and then he has a chance to play w matthews

Please show me where Hanifin has ever said he won’t resign with the leafs. Also with those deals and no clear team from the bunch anything can happen. You don’t waste these years with Matthews
