Playoff Ready wdepthcharts
Its cute you hold Sandin so high but he's not in a healthy leafs top 6. He would be 4th down on the left side of the depth chart, behind both Dermott and Rielly(you know, our time on ice leader for defenseman), and he might even be behind Hutton.

So Kivilhalme and Hutton are ahead of him on the depth chart? Lol if so that's ridiculous he's been solid this year.

I had a dream that Brady Tkachuk got traded with two first round picks to Seattle in some sort of three way deal which they got Josi from Nashville. Can’t remember anything more than that, weird dream.

Who do you start Leafs Nation if Campbell isn't back tomorrow? Veini vehvilainen or Hutch?

I'd give it to Veini

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>That's not it, he isn't soft. He goes to the front of the net and into the corners and fights for pucks. He doesn't block shots which he should start doing. And he never hits. I would love to see him throw a hit from time to time just because it would make defenceman think more. It doesn't have to be all the time like Hyman or Simmonds but just every once in a while, he has the ability to really line up a guy and I think with his speed of he every few games came flying in and leveled a defenceman, defenceman would have to think about that and it would result in them pausing for one more second and give him more time to steal the puck and create offence. Like give me 30 hits a season Willy. That's it.</div></div>
Yes. He is soft. There's no way around it.
Or is that what you were saying? First you said "He isn't soft" and then go on to describe... how he is soft?

It didn't look that bad to me. A little lackluster, yes, but I'm not going base base whther some is good at defense off one play.

Leafs deadline cup team
Lets get all these new bodies and plug them in the lineup with barely any season left to play, chemistry will certainly not be an issue to make a big cup run.

Lets get it Wednesday</div></div>
There are times when I do wish they would hit a guy but I also think hitting is overrated. A lot of players hit people and just put themselves out of position. Also if you have the puck it's hard to hit people. That being said, Engvall and Mikheyev really need to hit guys and I would love to see Nylander just get mad and throw a hit. Just every once in a while to make guys think it could happen.

This is about as far off the mark as anyone can get. McDavid is the Oilers. Hold him in check and they have no hope at all. In the season series vs the Leafs. McDavid and Draisaitl have more points than the rest of the team combined. And TO is 6-1-2 against them. Edmonton has beat up Ottawa (yeah I know they have been a tough out for TO for some reason but whatever) but Edmonton is not a team who's scary. Does anyone really think Smith is going to be as good as he's been for the whole season and playoffs? Will McDavid go deep when of he doesn't get 2 + points the Oilers have literally no chance of winning? They don't scare me at all. Winnipeg is more scary since they have the best goalie in the North. And they get destroyed every game but he wins them games constantly. TO will get healthy in net and things will turn around. I bet they'll distance themselves from Winnipeg over the next several weaks.</div></div>

Can't say that TOR does. EDM is one of the most dangerous teams in the playoffs this year. Because their high end talent can steal series.
They can will games, and you really aren't seeing a lot of that yet. But you will come playoff time.
Every other team in the whole league is what it is. But I think EDM is the one team no one wants to play. Because if they want to take over, they will. Not much anyone else can do about it either.</div></div>

Some how they don't realize even the best teams lose games. Like Tampa, when they got 62 wins (tying an nhl record) They still lost 20 games that season...</div></div>
I believe there was also a first-round exit, that record-setting season.

He's not a total liability but he's not gonna win a Norris either. Totally fine as a second or third pairing right shot. Honestly he and Sami Vatanen are two peas in a pod I think. He's still the 4th best skater on the Sabres after Eichel, Cozens and Hall. With a steady defensive LHD he'll be at his best ie; when he played with Cam Fowler.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Leafs4ever</b></div><div>his defensive game is there but TRY for our sakes</div></div>
He does try, always. It would have been no surprise if they scored on that 2 on one. Giving it there all to get back and still be far behind the play would have resulted in the same scoring chance but it would have used more energy and made it easier to defend if they got a stop there. It was a smart play. They weren't getting back in time regardless of how hard they booked it back. Why not hope for a stop and then get a break the other way?
