TurtleMountain's free agency

Fehr isn't going to anywhere but WSH for that contract.
With the exception of maybe EDM, no one is giving Oduya 5.75 mil.
Erhoff might sign for that caphit, but not that term.

Hmm, this looks like it was retaliatory for shutting down your Sharp trade. Not very nice I'd say.
Fehr gets a pay raise from $1.5 mil to $2.25 mil. I felt that was reasonable, but I'd pay $2.75 mil also. Not overly concerned about the specific number, just the ballpark. I don't feel I'm very far off in my estimate.
UFA defenseman are tough to come by. Oduya has proven success (albeit in a great Chicago system). Sekera's price will be driven up and so will Oduya's. Again, it's a ballpark number. If it's a little high, so be it. Oduya at $5.25 and Fehr at $2.75 offset one another.
Ehrhoff took a one year contract with Pittsburgh last year. He has a history of concussions/injury in general. A one year contract is a great opportunity to prove he can stay healthy for a season, then get term on his 2016 contract.
"These signings are garbage" is a little bit dramatic considering your only criticisms were related to specific numbers.

Only thing retaliatory was the 'garbage comment'.
Try being more constructive next time. You wanna be an ass? Ok, cool, but don't expect less from me.
Anyway, I'll repeat Fehr isn't going anywhere but WSH at that rate. He loves the city and the team and only a payday is going to take him away from that team.
Oduya is an overpayment, if you want your team to, then go ahead. I think Sekera would be around that price.
Erhoff isn't signing for 1 year, he did that with PIT to get a bigger payday this FA period after getting bought out. Concussion history aside, this is his last payday and he's going to want term. Since this D FA group isn't that strong, he's probably going to get it.

Kozilla's Game Plan

Quoting: turtlemountain

Quoting: Kolzilla

Quoting: turtlemountain

Sharp trade is laughable. One for one it's awful, but no way would they retain salary and throw in a pick.

Then, I think you're going to be very surprised for what Sharp goes for.
I offered a 2nd and a solid prospect, which is probably what he's gonna get.
You don't like the retention? That's fine, we can either take the hit, offer an additional pick, or not acquire Sharp. He's complementary, not necessary.

They're asking for a 1st round + top 6 player + top prospect. Obviously, that won't happen. But there's a whole lot of middle ground between that and retaining salary (while under a cap crunch) for a 2nd round pick + a former 3rd rounder who scored 14 points in 54 AHL games. That's not realistic.
Also if you're going to be nitpicky on my post: you're going to need a helluva lot more than $7000 in cap space. One player goes down or gets suspended and your team doesn't have space to call anyone up. Like how the Kings played with a shorter bench when dealing with the aftermath of the Voynov suspension earlier in the year.

No, they're not. That was a BS tweet from a total hack reporter. That was beat to death on HF boards, and it was agreed the guy who tweeted it was blowing smoke.
A player with a NTC, a team that has a very tough cap situation, and not too many teams willing to take Sharp's caphit means he's most likely going for a discounted return.
Stephenson is a checking, shutdown fwd. Do some research beyond just looking on the stat sheet. And as I said, there are plenty of prospects would could swap him out for: Galiev, Brown, Barber, etc.
You realize that's a 23 man roster, two spare forwards and a D, obviously you don't need that many. Send down, Galiev or Brown, problem solved. (I'd say you're being pretty nitpicky)
As for call ups, we have O'Brien, Barber, Vrana up front, and on D, Bowey, Wey, (not including resigning Kundratek, Schilling, and/or Olesky, which some will be).
We're fine with call ups

Caps win Cup no question about it.
There's no way we'd give up that much for Sharp or Vrbata.
I do agree they'd be good additions, though.
Also, I can't see us signing Downie.

Capitals 2016
I think this is the most realistic scenario. I don't think O'Brien will be up with the team, most likely Brown and Galiev due to waiver status.
Brouwer will bring back much more than that. As much as I and other Caps fans are tired of him, he's still useful to a lot of teams.
Also, did we clone Nate Schmidt???
Nice job.

Caps
Not bad, I like a lot about it. One thing I would remove is Sutter. With Fehr and Beagle being resigned, he's redundant and eats cap. I would rather try to trade Brouwer for a 2nd and/or prospects.
Overall, I like it.
