The people putting in the effort and enjoying the game are not to blame for the behavior of those GM's that are incapable of controlling themselves and conducting themselves appropriately. In order to not be an exclusive community, we accept anybody who wants to join. It's inevitable that there will be the occasional bad apple in the community and is no different than the rest of the forum. You're not going to remove the forum for the sake of a few bad characters, I don't know why you'd consider or even mention removing the GM game. More traffic is always going to equal more problems.

We're trying not to be a burden, but we have no teeth. Now that the BOG has been able to implement an infraction system, they have <em>some</em> control over behavior.
That doesn't mean they'll be able to stop people that are determined to be destructive, this is the internet after all.

I think a motion to kick rangers out is a little too far. I know we're not making it strictly a BOG decision, but if we're making it strictly a community decision, I might as well share my input on the situation simply as one of the 31 GMs.
Here's why I'm against kicking him:
- I legit don't think he's trying to troll us. He just seems to be not quite as quick to pick up on what's happening. He's admitted he doesn't get around to reading all the threads and that shows as he sometimes misses some posts and stuff.
- Any form of kicking or demotion should strictly be because of inactivity. We're all old enough that if someone's being a nuisance you should just tune out the annoyance, not complain about it. Now I understand I'm probably one of the more patient members of the game in terms of dealing with Rangers but still I don't think a motion to kick is the right thing.

1 - Let plNHL acquire another 2nd rounder in 2017 naturally from another trade to reimburse Ottawa for that pick?

3 - let me (Or whoever wants to do it) re-assess all traces of this trade with that pick and then once we have all the moving pieces, let each GM involved add/subtract to that trade in order to compensate for the error of that pick?

for

4th round pick 2017

Instead they work out a deal like this:

John Doe
1st round pick 2018
for
Steve Smith
4th round pick 2017
2nd round pick 2019

Option 1 and/or 2.

Give him a chance to rectify the situation by acquiring a 2017 2nd to pass on to Ottawa.
If he cannot (within a reasonable amount of time), he forfeits his 2018 1st to Ottawa.

Can we at least agree that:
- Pittsburgh gets the 2nd (DET - 2017)
- Islanders gets the 2nd (MTL - 2017)
- Detroit gets the 2nd (OTT - 2018)

That way we are down to only 2 teams being affected by the situation.
Then we freeze Detroit's roster until he is able to meet his obligation to Ottawa.

Does that sound suitable to everyone?</div></div>

Because:

That's what happens a lot. He gives the puck away too much.</div></div>

I mean the OT goal was a misplay by Girardi. Girardi should have stayed on his feet instead of trying to block the shot, check with the stick instead.

I'm struggling to put this in simple enough terms so there is no misunderstanding. Hopefully this helps.

5 GM's who can't be on all the time and just want to play, decide they don't need to vote on rules and will simply manage their team and enjoy the game.
Those 5 GM's come to me and say "Rico, we don't want to bother with all of the voting stuff. We are too busy and just want to focus on our own team. Could you take our votes and do that stuff for us? We trust your opinion and we normally agree with you anyway."
Now I have to vote on behalf of 6 people, including myself.
Basically, the 31 GM's have combined their votes and divided them equally among 7 people. All 31 GM's still have a vote, but each BOG member is voting on behalf of 4-5 other people.</div></div>

Lol Im not going to lie, that was way more complex than it needed to be.
