If we are going to spend 10+ mil on a guy or a collection of guys, we should target Draisaitl in FA next year.
I know that might sound crazy but they need a guy who can drive play and none of the guys listed above are going to do that.</div></div>
How much do you think Drai gets if he hits the free market?

I agree with most of your takes. Malkin to wing and go find a 2C in FA. I like Monahan, Stephenson, Wennberg in that position over Yager/Eller. The 3rd pairing D is solid. I think Accarai should stay and see what he can do without Harkens/Carter anchors weighing him down.
For Smith, I would love to see them somehow move him out and go after Duclair with that money. Ive been a big fan of the idea of Duclair on this team, fast and has hands. Although I think he will be his highest price this summer.

The lineup I created is a fantasy. Any lineup created on this website is a fantasy. Slow down and try not to take everything so seriously on a website that is built for fantasy scenarios.

Id like Dubas to get creative for 3C
I don't think PO will get paid this summer, hasn't done much to prove he's NHL caliber still. He may get a 925K offer, but thats the highest I would go.
Id rather give the Toffoli money to a legit Top 4 LH defensemen, move PO/Shea to the third pair to fight for a spot.
I don't think we get out of the Graves Contract that easily, considering a M-NTC is in place.
Toronto/Blues are high on Acciari, can probably get something more than a 6th
I also don't see Fluery coming back. He had multiple opportunities to come back and has expressed that he is open to staying in MIN
Id like to Neito in the SJS trade instead of Puustinen

They get out of Smith contract by TDL next year most likely, no need to extend the cap pain on a bad contract by another year.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cwhitney29</b></div><div>-i like the idea of POJ/JSI 3rd pair next year so i would personally resign POJ to a cheap deal. he does a wonderful job of driving offense and hes cheap and young, those are guys you want to keep while theyre price is low. and you never know when a guy like him puts it together in the defensive zone.
-i dont think jersey takes on jars. and i think ned will price himself out, unless you move jars. thats going to be a very sneaky decision that GMKD will have to make in the offseason, bc i dont think he can afford both.
-the bottom 6 is... yikes. but, with 10 mil in cap, i would take that free cap space and bring in at least 2 b6 forwards, preferably guys who are very very fast, like warren foegele and sam lafferty (and yes, sully will play them both, dont roll your eyes).
-figure out something ryan graves. i would absolutely consider a buyout and explore upgrades on the left side because he was terrible with everyone he played with that wasnt named chad ruhwedel.</div></div>
I thought Graves and JSI have been playing good together, granted Graves should not be a 3rd pairing Dman at that cap hit. The only hope is he gets more time to practice with letang in the offseason and really learn how to be his partner. That buyout is atrocious
I am not sure who Jersey can go out and confidently get as a UFA this offseason. I think RFA goalies like Swayman or UPL are either not going to get moved, or cost a lot in a trade.
Bottom six on paper is ugly, but dang have they looked good recently. And to GMKD want, they are young. Acciari staying healthy is a big one. Ponomarev/Poulin slides in as 4th line center (if Eller is still performing at this years pace) Foegele would be a fantastic add to this team. That was my thought with Mikheyev, the dude can fly out on the ice.

Who do you have in mind? I think the UFA goalie market this summer is slim. Driedger, Brossoit, Rittich, Pickard is who comes to mind thats not 34+ years old.

small push
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Gardoki</b></div><div>"small push" = 90 trades lol
Moving Ned is a major mistake and honestly, there's nothing really realistic to any of these trades.
Why would SEA do this?
Why would LA do this?
Why would AZ do this?</div></div>
Seattle moved a 5th for Tatar, they get a 4th round in return. So Seattle essentially traded a 5th round pick for a 4th
LA isnt playing Kaliyev, LA gets a young LD and two picks. The players are a swap of scenery. picks to add value
AZ takes on Smith, flips him for a higher pick next year. AZ is known to do reclamation projects for draft capital.
Pens wont be able to resign Ned next year, get draft capital for him instead of letting him walk for nothing.
