Bruins lose every deal......

Eriksson > Skinner ... Adding in Subban (potential #1 goalie, and solid trade piece) and a 3rd is overkill.

Gunnarsson is a nice #4 defenseman, but they aren't giving him up for Seidenberg (who at this point is unreliable physically w/ injuries). Plus, when Seids comes back and proves to be healthy, is Gunnarsson really an upgrade over him? I'm not so sure. With the Bruins where they are; which has been impressive and a shock, i'd wait and see what the addition of Seidenberg can do for the blue line. He'll be recovered more from his knee, and whatever injury he has now; i don't believe it was ever made publically known what he's dealing with, and maybe we can get some of Seidenberg that we saw in the past. Chara looks great, and has returned to #1 form after a full offseason to rest.

The Braun deal i absolutely hate. For one I don't think they'd downgrade to Gunnarsson since Braun is better, but you're killing the whole thing with that 1st round pick again. You don't move that in a deal for a player like Braun. Braun doesn't put this D-core over the top, he makes it more than slightly better, but acquiring him would bump someone like Colin Miller, and/or Joe Morrow out, and i'd rather continue to roll with them, than slightly upgrade with Braun. I also like Arnesson. He has Seidenberg qualities to him, and while he won't offer a whole lot of offense is a good skater, solid defensively, and moves the puck extremely well. He's a sleeper who i wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a #3-4 defensive defenseman. Like his fellow countryman, niklas Hjalmarsson. Even if he doesn't reach that potential, he has very little bust potential, and will be, at the very least, a #5-7 NHL defenseman. What really kills the Braun deal for me though is that 1st round pick. If we're trading it, which i still think we need to give the team a lot more time to see where they are before we move it, i'd like to see it moved for a legit top 4 upgrade.

Sujet: Sorry tuuk
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rosatoa1367</b></div><div><i>Yes, we could get more fore Tuuk. The Okposo deal would work out in the favour of both teams. And my fascination with Ellis? He's a right handed, puck moving (with strong defensive awareness) dman. Why do I like him so much? Go ask Pred fans why I like him so much, and he's young, and he's cheap. And the defence is considerably better losing Trotman and Seidy while gaining Ellis and Clitsome, and still having space for a big time signing next FA season (Yandle or Big Buff)</i></div></div>

Except you aren't getting Okposo for the deal presented. And sorry but Eriksson (UFA) + Potential Top 10 pick (Top 15 defintely) + 2nd/3rd round for Okposo (UFA) who can walk at seasons' end isn't helpful to the Bruins, at all. You aren't getting KO for that price. He's going to want 6.5+ and will get it in F.A .... Eriksson will command a cheaper contract most likely, and if kept with Krejci, will be just as good a fit than Okposo. I say trade Eriksson for 1st + Good prospect at the deadline anyway. Need to resign Marchand next year, and don't need to lock up 2 TOP 6 spots with veterans over 30.

Defense is not better. It's relatively the same, which is piss poor to begin with. Clitsome is a bottom pair defenseman who is injury proned, small (5'11) and nothing special overall. Ryan Ellis, contrary to your belief, is a decent offensive defenseman, who isn't very good in his own end. We have Krug, who i have said countless (and i mean COUNTLESS) times, is a better defenseman than Ellis. Don't need two similar Dman in the lineup, and Krug is proving he is a legit top 4 option scoring currently at a .85 PPG pace, and playing big minutes (~23 mins TOI) while being successful on both sides of the puck. Any Defense that has McQuaid in its top 4 is a recipe for disaster, and Kevan Miller is by far one of the worst defenseman on the Bruins right now. You have him as a top pair option with Chara, while Morrow and Colin Miller sit behind him? Even still, inserting both into the lineup, don't make it any better b/c it's the same as it is now. Add into the fact you have significantly downgraded at goalie, and this team is destined for a top 5 pick, that you have sent to the NYI for UFA Okposo who could walk and will walk if that's the deal he's offered.

Anything else?
