Good for you. The point was the odds are not in your favour that the individual chosen in that spot will ever make the NHL, let alone help you more than a 23yr old who's already shown he's a regular NHLer.
We're all entitled to our own opinion....doesn't make any of us right

Leafs Blockbuster
Cgy probably doesn't need more wingers unless they plan on moving Johnny, and while the deal is fine I think Tor might be able to find better options, as well as I really don't think Dubas is moving him.
Not sure if VGK really has interest in moving RR but maybe a more informed fan could correct me on that.
Askarov is not going to be NHL ready for probably at minimum 2 years so I wouldn't count on that and Car would likely want to send at minimum a goalie the other way.

FYI, Nolan Foote has been traded to the Devils in that Coleman trade

First of all, you are increasing your chances of getting first rounded, by adding leaf players to the team!

How Montreal will land JACK EICHEL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15</b></div><div>I’d give a **** less about BUF, but seriously you think Eichel is going to refuse to play? Just pass up that $10M. Sure he could do it, but nobody is that dumb and what he is going to refuse to play for 6 years. The problem is you thinking his value has somehow been affected.</div></div>
Thats not a problem, its a reality. His value has been effected. Sabres fans just arent accepting it. Again, he isnt worth nothing: this would be a HUGE chunk for the sabres to get back!

How Montreal will land JACK EICHEL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15</b></div><div>Seguin wasn’t traded because he wanted out, Seguin was traded because Boston was concerned about his partying ways. And I will reiterate what is Eichel going to do? Demand a trade fine. But BUF can literally sit on him for years. Sakic is the model GM to use for this. He sat on Duchene for over a year after he requested a trade. He didn’t like the returns he was being offered, so he kept looking. BUF has literally 1000% more leverage in this situation. There is ZERO reason for them to accept anything but a premium package.</div></div>
Lol ok, dosent matter to me man
Bruins and Habs are fine without him
I hope buffalo enjoys starting well and then ending poorly each year. And once Eichel refuses to play for them, he will be worth next to nothing lol so

I don't think the Habs do that at all and Buffalo probably wants more for a move within the division

How San Jose can be good again
I literally chuckled at the Rangers deal. You're not getting Adam Fox for Couture straight up, let alone adding TDA and a top 15 pick. Couture's still a great player but he's getting 8 mil for the next 7 years, when he'll be 38. Hefty no thank you.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dzmets</b></div><div>If Eichel were to request a trade and if the Sabres decided to honor his request I don't think the Sharks have the prospects/picks to make an offer that would work for both teams. This would probably take Hertl, Meier, 2020 1st, 2021 first, Merkley and Lebanc. I realize this deal would not make much sense for San Jose, but that is likely what it would take. Otherwise if an Eichel trade were ever to be explored it would be with a team with a greater collection of higher first round picks/higher end prospects Teams like LA, Anaheim or Chicago</div></div>
Good luck getting that value. It just doesnt happen. Bigger stars than Eichel have been traded and never gotten that kind of return, theres just no precedent for the kind of value you are asking. Two top line young players, one middle six 50 goal young player, a top prospect with top pairing potential and two firsts for one amazing 1c is just crazy.

Don’t let comments become discouraging have fun with it. If looking for a more reasonable plan avoid higher end players like Larkin or Eichel only going to make comment section nasty. If you like watching people argue then join me have a beer enjoy the show. Haha

cool, casey mittelstadt, rasmus ristolainen, zemgus girgensons and kyle okposo for thomas hertel.

Don't know if you massively over value couture or massively under value fox and deangelo. Either way that trade is way off. Plus this team still sucks with jones in net

I’d consider offering a 3rd from oilers if half salary is retained.

That center depth is a big yikes. Calgary declines too, you would have to offer a top 2 pick for them to consider moving Matthew

I’m interested to see what gets said about the flames trade.... I doubt flames do it because of how much he’s loved there by fans and team but the value on that trade in my opinion is overpaying the flames
