If the pens aren’t in a playoff spot by the deadline do the sell Malkin?
As long as Crosby and Malkin are still around, the team is going to try and win. If they miss the playoffs one year, they'll reload in the offseason and be right back in the thick of it next year. Selling Malkin doesn't get them anywhere.

when mcavoy was healthy last year krug was pp1 and mcavoy was pp2 with grz. so im not sure what im missing here. Krug has been pp1 since he came into the league.

Dude, you need to stop with the whole "if everyone says it it's not really bold" or "if everyone says he's underrated then he isn't really underrated".

NHL Network's TOP 20 Centers
These lists are obviously very subjective and there's never going to be a list that can be 100% agreed upon. I think for the most part, it's a solid list. I'd have Malkin a lot higher than 13 and I'd also have Couturier in the top 20 as well.

4 on 4 NHL
This literally changes the entire landscape of how to play the game. Growing up, you learn how to play a 5v5 game. Every coach knows how to coach a 5v5 game. Every general manager in the league is building a team around a 5v5 game.
Hockey is a physical game, and there's nothing wrong with the state of 5v5 hockey. Absolutely nothing. The game is fast and physical. It's the most exciting and beautiful game on Earth because of it. Making it 4v4 full time takes away some of what makes hockey the greatest sport ever. It's a terrible, terrible idea.

Remi is a common guy’s name as well as a girls name in the French language. It’s origin is related to “oarsmen”.
Also, attributing feminine qualities to someone in a pejorative way is soooooooo last century. Hurry up and grow up.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>2 years would have made him an RFA at expiration. 3 years makes him a UFA. 4+ years would have bought at least a year of his UFA eligibility.
I would have rather seen $2 million AAV for 5 years than $875k for 3 years.</div></div>
2M is a pretty big number and 5 years is a lot for a guy who has yet to prove he could be a starter. So if this was the cost of getting him on a low AAV, then I think it's a good deal. If he doesn't become no. 1, at least you're not tied down. I'm sure Kings can put the extra cap space to good use.

(NSH/NJD) - Subban for Santini, Davies, 2019 2nd round pick, 2020 2nd round pick
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhockey91</b></div><div>Once again, he was nominated for the Norris last season. The season before he lead him team to a Stanley cup final. He had ONE bad season lol. It happens. Kopitar had 50 points and followed it up with 92. Marchand had 41 points and followed it up with 37 goals the next year. BAD SEASONS HAPPEN!</div></div>
And even if he is overrated and overpaid, it's money that New Jersey has to spend right now and he's a substantial upgrade to their current defense. It gives them Subban, Severson and Vatanen on the right side for next year, with Vatanen most likely walking. Plus they have Butcher on the left and Ty Smith coming soon. It's a slick move by the Devils to drastically improve their team, both now and in the future

That may be the least intelligent comment I’ve seen on here. No offence. People don’t like Subban not because of his play (he’s an elite defensemen). It’s cause he’s an eccentric, energizing, African Canadian hockey player who sticks out from the crowd. He’s extremly talented and can change the pace of a game. Sure his last season was bad, but everyone has down seasons. He’s got a big personality and he backs it up from his play on the ice. Sure he isn’t the best defensively but neither is burns, rielly, letang, karlsson, etc...
