I just can't say I'd love to have all my eggs in the Mike Smith basket come playoff time after what's likely to be a top seed type of season from ya'll...

Id strongly disagree on Krejci &amp; Martinez... Hamonic maybe, &amp; even likely.. but he was just a last minute addition anyhow just cause I had the $1.5M left.. so I mean that could even be tried @ $1.6 or I'd be perfectly content with it going to a better fitting RD to pair w/ Gryz or spend that $1.5 on a grittier 4th liner... But as far as Krejci &amp; Martinez...?
Martinez signed for $4M/Yr 6 years ago in his prime @ 27 Yrs old &amp; coming off a Stanley Cup Championship in that very season... So him getting 3 yrs @ age 33 is good term for him @ let's say $3.5 at the most, which they are very capable of swinging... I'm not sure why you think he'd be commanding the type of Yearly hit as then...??

&amp; As for Krejci, he's been adamant that his ONLY 2 choices are here, or back in the Check, so they are bidding against noone but themselves, &amp; similar to Hall has stated he's not interested in maximizing his value... &amp; Maybe would argue he was egregiously over-paid for probably 75+% of the time he was here over this last contract as the highest paid on our team &amp; playing on the 2nd line for its entirety.. Not to mention the last contract was coming a season removed from a cup appearance &amp; a cpl from an actual Cup season that included huge post seasons out of him... That's no longer the case... I could see them going Year by Year til he goes back home for good...
