Bonino not resigning? (Realistic-ish)
You didn't get enough Hainsey the first time? He's a turnover machine and a terrible player. And you are going to knock Wilson out of the lineup for Kunitz? The rest is OK

Fleury Proof
Why would you keep MAF and overpay for a backup? I'd rather keep Rust and Cole, they are more useful game to game. And that bottom pairing is, wow, bad. You have no cap flexibility in case you want to pick someone up later.

17-18 Pens
This is assuming Vegas takes Brandon Davidson from Montreal in the expansion draft. So it would be Haglen for Davidson and 2 seconds.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NateElder12</b></div><div>ANA would laugh and hang up with that offer. Manson is worth more than everything in that package easily by himself, and Rackell is worth more than that whole package by himself too - therefore, it's no way even close, at all.
Dallas trade heavily favors PIT too although it isn't nearly as bad since they actually need a goalie - just don't you getting Honka from them. Also, think you severely undervalued those contracts for Schultz/Sheary - maybe if they were shorter term you'd get them for that but 5 year deals are going to be tough to lock guys like that up cheap for.</div></div>
Yeah the Ducks can't protect Manson in the draft so they have to move him somewhere or lose him for nothing. Hornqvist is the best player in the trade. Then to even out the dollars Rakell(another player not protected) for a player who is a younger version of the same guy. Under ordinary circumstances you may be right but there are going to be a lot of trades leading up to the expansion draft that would never have been made if it didn't exist.

Keep Kunitz
Dominic Simon is NOT NHL ready at the moment. He needs at least half a season in the AHL before they could even think of bringing him up. Sundquist and Wilson are much better 4th line material than Simon and Sheary. I do hope the latter 2 get a t least 1 or 2 games each at the NHL level this season but they are not ready to be there full time. And Sutter has more value than a draft pick, you should use it to get something back, even if it's a Zach Kassian type(ealier in the summer there was a rumor of a Sutter for Kassian and a 2nd trade). That would have been perfect. Fehr, Kassian and Kunitz on the third line would be pretty spectacular.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>slewisd7</b></div><div><i>I agree with everyone that scuderi and Arizona want no part of each other. Also, giving up a third just to dump to salary is too much, especially when the pens have so few picks</i></div></div>
Pens have 3 third round picks next year and losing 1 to get rid of Scuderi is MORE than worth it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sqm918</b></div><div><i>It's not a bad deal, but I would prefer Rutherford to go after the younger, faster, bigger Franson for the same price. Although I do like the idea of trading away Sutter and Lovejoy.</i></div></div>
Franson would be better and he's a right handed shot to replace Lovejoy, but we do not have cap space for him. We could ask him to take a 1 year deal at a low cap hit and promise to sign him to a better deal next summer when Hamhuis comes off the books.

New thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jonnyhiebs7</b></div><div><i>Scuderi has a no trade clause I believe so I doubt he will go to Arizona. Also I'm a Canucks and pens fan and I love that trade for both teams!</i></div></div>
I know that, I just want him off the team. We have 3 third round picks next year and we can offer 1 or 2 of them to get rid of him. If you tell Scuderi it's either Arizona or Wilkes Barre I ber he would take Arizona. And the Coyotes are not looking to win in the next few years so they accommodate us and then have 3.3 million in cap space in 2 years and a good mentor for their young guys in the meantime. There is not a contender that would take him off our hands so we have to think outside the box. He is not built for our system and Brian Dumoulin is ready for third pairing full time minnutes.

t's really not that crazy, I bet he doesn't go for much more than that, I might throw in another 1st or Kapanan or Harrington even. It gives Toronto 8 million in cap space in 2 years time and 2-3 assets to boot. But I would pay even more for the potential of 40-60 goals and 2 decent powerplay units instead of 1. cThe Leafs business model right now is lose and accumulate, they aren't trying to be productive any time soon and they are going to have to take salary back no matter who they trade him to. Why not trade him for relief when they plan to be competitive again? Those 3 give them 3 roster players for the next 2 years that will give them a team but also ensure they are not a good team. I'm not saying it's going to happen at all but it's not impossible. And we'll see in the next few weeks what his actual value is given his contract and attributes. This is the perfect situation for Kessel, all he has to do is score goals and take shots. There's no emphasis for him to be a leader or a spokesperson, so no blame. I like to think he has some say in where he goes and he could push for this type of situation given that there are only 8 teams on his trade acceptable list.
