Good players are being dumped for virtually nothing. Switched to a 4th. That’s the best they’ll get and is frankly being generous. Bonino has one year left and is nowhere close to as bad as Staal who got a 2nd.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TanSor</b></div><div>Pateryn? He's fine on the 3rd pairing and Brodin can carry his partner on the 2nd pairing so I'm not worried about the 2nd pairing at all. Remember we still have Spurgeon and Suter, those 3 are incredible defensively if we do trade Dumba, plus Foligno is fantastic in his own zone, and Ek, Sturm, and Kunin are both great as well. I just think it would be a bad idea to tie up nearly $34M into our blue line.</div></div>
Really don’t like Pateryn. Not sure why they gave him that much, he’s a weak bottom pairing dman. Suter/Brodin/Spurgeon help a lot but if the other three are Hunt/Pateryn/Addison or a cheap fill in.. would think they’re going to struggle. Especially with instability in net, weak down the middle, etc.

Lol plus minus.. come on man.
Eriksson Ek is a 3C, Foligno is a below average third liner. Don’t get me started on Hartman. If that’s what your team is rolling out good luck, Minnesota will continue to be a dumpster fire

It is but if Dumba is moved they really don’t have anyone else. Need as much help on defense as possible even with Dumba staying for Kahkonen and Stalock as the netmnders.
I really don’t think Addison is ready yet and Menell is gone. Thought they’d keep Soucy

That JEE line would get the other team's top lines and shut them down (and be a + line while doing it), so yes they would be the 2nd line.</div></div>

Dubnyk is most certainly gone. You’re right on the fact that they’ve talked which is why I made this. Think it’s an okay fit since Sharks have the cap space, won’t have to send a contract back.
Braun + Brodzinski signed is because of rumor that Wild are targeting MN born players. Want more home grown talent

I see him signing 1 year for 1.5ish so that he can try to get 3-4 next year than signing for 2ish for 2 years
Dermott I feel is going to get squeezed hard to sign for 1 year. I doubt he gets much more than 2ish million if no term</div></div>

Do this same roster. Pay Mikheyev 1.65
Pay dermott 1.65
That leaves you roughly the same amount for the third line w.
Put Robertson in whi should be there anyway and is on an ELC.
Boom. Ahead by 800k</div></div>
That’s too low for both. Dermott gets at least $2.5 on a 2-3 year deal Mikheyev at least $2.0 on a 1-2 year deal

No room for Dermott, should move him for picks/prospects or a cheap bottom sixer. Cousins can play any way any position + is a Sault St Marie alumni. I’d think Dubas would want him
Johnsson isn’t worth much more than a fourth with flat cap, his contract, and injuries. Maybe a 3rd but no more

I’m not a Leafs fan but the fit is there.. log jam at RHD for Blackhawks and they need to clear salary if Seabrook isn’t LTIR’d. Honestly even if he is probably need to clear cap space. It gets more complicated with their RFAs and lack of goaltending
Good top 4 stay at home dman who is on a good contract, which is what Leafs are looking for. He’s a better fit than Pietrangelo or others on market. Think they target him or Cernak

Back in March, another Black N Gold Hockey writer gave his take on a Krug report that Krug is seeking about $8M per year. This price point for Krug is about the general consensus starting point amongst NHL execs and players throughout the league.
Oops. 🤷🏻♂️
It’s funny how you think signing players to team friendly contracts is a bad thing. Lol.
I’m aware of tax implications. Are you aware he does not want to be there? Doubt he gives them a discount. Detroit or Minny on the other hand....
Keep trying though 🙄</div></div>
That is definitely not a legitimate source LOL. It’s a blog. You serious bro?
He clearly values his contract more than he wants to be with the Bruins.. he’s been gone since they got eliminated. Changed his profile and everything. He deserves the money and I can’t fault him for that.
Team friendly deals are great but letting a star player walk since you won’t pay him fair value is ridiculously dumb. But you do you. I’m sure Pastrnak will leave after his contract is up and he demands $9 million. But.. maybe he didn’t want to be there or else he’d take the discount. Dinosaur thinking from a dinosaur organization that let Seguin go for peanuts since he “didn’t want to play like a Bruin”. It’s insulting
