I understand what you are saying but they aren't selling Laughton for anything less than a 1st. Robertson is interesting, but Philly have a ton of wingers in the organization and specifically we have a ton of undersized wingers. I do believe Di Marco that they aren't interested in Robertson.

So your saying Robertson is worth a 1st? Anthony Di Marco of TFP has mentioned that Philly doesn't have interest in Robertson.

The Flyers aren't doing that deal, they want a 1st for each Laughton and Walker. Not saying they will get that kind of value but this doesn't come close.

Maybe reasonable
Philly wants a 1st and 2nd for the combo of Walker and Seeler. To take Holl back that would require even more.

The Flyers likely do that. Philly was looking to extend Seeler but apparently his demands are a little steep.

I think that the Flyers deal is close to what they would want, however Anthony Di Marco of TFP has mentioned that Philly isn't interested in Robertson. They don't want undersized wingers.

The first two deals make sense...I don't see RyJo staying in Philly he would likely need to be flipped elsewhere. I don't see why the Oilers do that deal. And the Seeler deal seems a bit rich. I think a 3rd and a prospect makes sense.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FromNunavut</b></div><div>I think they'd like Kulak for another 2 years at 2.75M compared to the 3-4M Seeler wants</div></div>
Philly has a bunch of defenseman at the AHL level that need to get there shot soon. They just called up Attard but they have a few more. If Kulak had one year left maybe they would take him back if it help get them a better asset. The Flyers are rebuilding adding 30 year old defenseman doesn't fit that plan.

Worst team in existence
Philly isn't doing that Rakell is not a valuable player at that cap hit with that term. Plus he doesn't fit a rebuild. Plus we aren't giving up that 2nd for a backup goalie

Jets arent done
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SpiderSpiderSpider28</b></div><div>I think this is fairly close, but there'd have to be a couple of assumptions/changes made here:
1) Briere would have to be seriously convinced that Perfetti could be a Center long term in Philly
2) I think it'd have to be something other than Chibrikov if Perfetti were the main piece being sent back. I like him a ton as a prospect, but Philly has already expressed concerns regarding the size of their forward corp, so they're not giving up their best player in a package involving 2 guys who are 5'10
I very, very, very highly doubt TK is dealt at this point, but Perfetti would be the sort of guy I'd imagine would make Philly consider a deal</div></div>
I would agree with you for the most part. I think any TK deal would start with a similar return that Calgary got for Lindholm and then add more due to TK being under contract for next year.
I think Chibrikov is very interesting but as Spider mentions we have a ton of wingers especially undersized ones. I think in a Walker deal Philly is targeting that 2nd from Montreal and either a defenseman or center on the AHL team.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>smkruzik</b></div><div>I think you hold having letters to a much higher degree than you should. A letter doesn't make anyone untouchable. It doesn't add more value in terms of a return than not having one.
Not grading the deal; just saying letters aren't going to make or break a trade</div></div>
Having a letter is not the point he was just given the letter on February 16th. What team in their right mind goes and has a big press release to announce that they have added a new captain and alternate captain and then trades them 2 weeks later? That would be completely stupid. Honestly I think they gave TK a letter because they are trading their other alternate captain in Laughton. I could care less about the letter, it's the timing.

Maybe you are the one that is biased....everything I've heard is Perfetti is not on Bowness's good side. TK has more points than anyone on your squad. Stanley isn't good enough to play for the Jets so stop including him in trade offers. This whole discussion is nonsense. Less than 2 weeks ago TK was named as an alternate captain. No team is going to trade someone who they just gave a letter.

That's not even remotely enough for both. Regardless TK is currently hurt and not being traded. They just gave him an "A". Why would a team trade a player within a month of announcing him as a new member of their leadership core.

Deadline Deal Back Up Goalie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CapFriendlysFinest</b></div><div>This is an awful deal for the Flyers.
Campbell alone will require a 1st plus to take the load of his contract.</div></div>
Agreed, according to Puckpedias cap value chart. To take Campbell's contract a team would have to give the value of the 12th pick in the 1st round pick back in value. The Oilers 1st won't be there so it will take a lot.

I think the Flyers consider this, they likely want the 2nd in 2024. Stanley makes no sense, he isn't a prospect. Plus Philly has been scouting Manitoba recently so its likely that any players headed to Philly would be from the AHL.

Buchnevich and Walker
The Flyers pass, they want a 1st and 2nd for the pair of Walker and Seeler. Kulak is a cap dump so he has negative value and Dineen is a AHL player. There would need to be more picks/prospects headed to Philly.

My Deadline
So the Laughton deal is fine. The deal with the Oilers is way light. To buyout Campbell would add a min cap hit of $1.5m for the next 6 years. Holloway is interesting but hasn't proven anything at the NHL or AHL. I would say Peterson has to be going back in this deal and EDM would need to throw in more (especially if they aren't taking Peterson. The Krebs deal doesn't make a ton of sense to me, yes they want a project but I doubt they want to give up picks for him.
