Good points on Tatar. Sakic won't pine over trading a pick, but I get the sense he sees a lot of himself in Newhook.

If the offers aren't really good -- or unless Kovy asks to be traded somewhere in particular -- I suspect he stays and re-signs for another year at around $2M. He seems to really enjoy playing in a place where hockey matters and there are young players. He seems to have no issues with load management either. I will be the first to admit I didn't want him and got him all wrong.

I agree that Petry's days are numbered, but I don't think the return is good enough. I don't believe in "hopefully". If the Habs are going to make a deal for Petry, the return had better be a major improvement. Honka and Johns aren't that.

Ghost trade : I'm not sure about PHI needs for Juulsen : they have already a young RD pushing (Myers). For the trade value, without Ratcliffe the value would be there. Some say it's not enough for PHI, and knowing they might have few interest in Juulsen they would probably decline. It might not be the LD Habs would get by trade unless they are ready to trade Drouin. We could go for Leddy (NYI)/Brodie(CAL)/Brodin(MIN) without having to trade Drouin. Those 3 teams need help at the wings and Habs can provide that. Brodie would cost less because he's UFA next year and a simple low cost AAV winger like Armia+Lehko could do it with a pick. (Also Armia might be around 2.5-3m AAV and Lehko around 2.5).

Poolparty : the value is there, but Julien really likes Lehko and I'm not sure Bergevin would lose him to a risky player. Armia might have a higher value than Lehko and EDM would accept an Armia-Poolparty trade but again, I wouldn't do it : IMO Armia can be a 20 goal scorer and even help the PP and PK.
