Major Rebuild (Trade EDM, FLA, MIN)
I'd be more concerned with getting McBain and Tychonick at 56 and 57, I don't think theres a chance in hell they fall out of the top 40
Edit: I'd be shocked if Kurashev dropped out of the top 60, let alone hit the 100's

Big Draft Day
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>joshelkin</b></div><div>Logic is perfectly fine on most things, but a few thoughts:
1) Don't think AZ is the team who would even consider signing Brock. They're nowhere near close. I realize they're a placeholder, but still. Maybe a team like WPG would be more inclined if Stastny walks and they have a hole at 3C. The 1st or 2nd round pick would be MUCH lower than AZ.
2) Really don't want to trade Lee. He's too good and the Isles can't replace his net front presence, let alone his 40 goals. Too much chemistry on that top line (especially if you're working under the assumption JT returns),
Both things being said, if this was the line up next season I would not be upset. But definitely disappointed in letting a guy like Anders walk.</div></div>
1) Arizona was literally the 1st team on the list that had a 1st and 3rd round pick, I didn't do that at all thinking they might want to sign him
2) I love Lee too, but our offense is good enough to carry on without him. And we have Otto Koivula's in the system, who's been compared to Lee. The Isles need defense desperately and Hanifin fills a major need at a lower cost than Lee will command when he's a 29 year old free agent after next year.

Farfetched Plan if JT Leaves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BigBeardBurns</b></div><div>My ranks to 12 are:
Dahlin, Svech, Zad, Tka, Bouch, Boq, Wahl, Hughes, Dobson, T.Smith, Veleno, Farabee
I feel #5-8 could b interchangable, but otherwise, I see Dobson as definite #9 or 10, especially going to Edmonton if he falls to 10. From what I’ve heard about Veleno, he’ll go above Farabee as well, so that leaves me to put him at 12 (I’ve felt him as a 12 or 13 all year).</div></div>
My mock drafts got the top 12 as Dahlin, Svechnikov, Zadina, Boqvist, Wahlstrom, Hughes, Dobson, Tkachuk, Farabee, Bouchard, Smith, Kotkaniemi so we'll definitely see what comes around draft time

And Clutterbuck is worse than Cizikas, with Ho-Sang, Eberle and Bailey in front of him. As it stands right now Cizikas only has Barzal in front of him

Buffalo trade is good
Not a fan of the Vancouver trade. I like Tanev but giving up Pulock (after an outstanding year) and a 1st as part of a cap dump doesn't do it for me.
Martin shouldn't be on this team unless half his contract is retained and were giving up like a 6th.
Beagle should probably make less and please no more Brock Nelson just let him get offersheeted
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ragsandbluesfan</b></div><div>Cizikas HAS to be on that 4th line</div></div>
He gets paid like a 3rd liner its time for him to move up to it

Islanders in a Better State?
You traded our best prospect and a 2nd for a guy who has injury problems and got ran out of the starting job. Hickey is all but gone and a 5 year deal is far too much for a painfully average defenseman. De Haan, also all but gone, is not signing for 2 million dollars a year after he went to arbitration trying to get 5.

Interesting Chicago trade, I kinda like it, not having Bellows would suck though so obviously pick 12 would have to be a LW. Assuming we stay at 12 though with the Calgary pick I dont think Farabee falls to us, I have him at 9 in my rankings. We'd probably be looking at Kotkaniemi or trading down like 3-4 spots to get Kravstov or Lundestrom

No Snow
Love your draft picks, hoping the Isles end up with them at the draft, barring one of the top guys slide. But I do think this is a huge overpayment for Tavares, it's basically 3 1st rounders, 2 extremely good players and a 2nd

"Only Isles’ fans would think De Haan’s value is good enough to make that EK trade fair"? Most Isles fans hate De Haan lol

Going Overseas and Making a Trade (Read Description for Explanation)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hawkisles</b></div><div>Complete shot in the dark idea here, but what about this deal?
NYI gets:
RFA Rights to Hanifin
Carolina's 2018 1st Round Pick
CAR gets:
Anders Lee
RFA rights to Brock Nelson
Mitchell Vande Sompel
NYI fills a short term hole on defense and gets a third 1st round pick, with which they could use to trade up for an even better pick or simply nab a 3rd high round prospect. Losing Anders Lee will hurt, but I think Beauvillier is ready for increased minutes, Bellows looks like the real deal and Ho-Sang is ready for his REAL rookie season. Isles still have enough offense to do damage after this deal.
CAR gets two fantastic goal scorers (Lee a 40 goal scorer, Brock a frequent 20 goal scorer) and an above average defensive prospect. Hanifin is a great talent, don't get me wrong, but the returns from dealing his rights would go a very long way in adding the offense they desperately need.</div></div>
I’d personally do that deal. I love Anders but the team has enough scoring, especially on the left side. I think we’d be fine without him even though he’s probably the best net front presence in the league

No idea, but he's been the sources of some rumors, especially last offseason and fits a huge need for the Isles. Plus the Canes are stacked on the backend with McKeown, Fleury, Bean, Pesce, and Slavin all 23 or younger

I looked all over to try and find fair value for Hanifin and couldn't find any middle ground. Some thought he should be traded for futures and other wanted a 1 for 1 deal. I tried to make some middle ground.

You want a 2nd? I'll gladly give you a second lol but to think this is ripoff nonsense is extremely ignorant. Martin Jones got a 1st for having a .921 SV% the past 2 years leading up to his trade. Lehner and Legwand got a late first where Lehner had a .909 SV% the previous 2 years before the trade. You know what Mrazek's SV% was the last 2 years before he got traded for a 3rd and a 4th? .906
You know what Korpisalo's SV% is the past 2 years? .901
