Tdl idea
I think lindholm and hanifan both return a first plus. Flames will get a kings ransom for lindholm since he’s easily the best center on the market right now. Huge downgrade after him to guys like Monahan and Henrique

Not what you think
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ab27</b></div><div>What do you think gets added to each one?</div></div>
New Yorks LD was their weak point this year in my mind and not because of Miller. And it was still better than most teams. Rangers had a fantastic team. So I wouldn't trade Miller at all.
So scrap that LA trade entirely.
If you are set on trading Laf, I would ask for Xhekaj and 2023 Florida 1st at minimum. He is a 1st overall pick from a few years ago and is still only 21.
Miller + Lindgren + Xhekaj on the left - Fox, Trouba, Schneider on the right. With guys like Jones as depth. That D Corp looks very nice.

I really like the TJ idea. However I feel those 3rds have to become a 2nd and drop the 4th coming back. I’m not even sure how TJ could be available. But yes please

If you aren't starting with one of those 23 1sts, you ain't leaving the store with Tarasenko. Simple as.

Testing if it could work
These seem fine. Leschyshyn is free when in AHL, no team wants him tho IMO. Seems fine for Meier. Goodrow is interesting-- might get a bit more if a team really wants him.

It doesn't work.
The cap won't be that high and you have a 20 man roster

Big Acquisitions
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ab27</b></div><div>Although I do agree this is a poor offer, there is no way they are giving Othman/Cuyle plus a first for Tarasenko. I could see them doing this offer but instead of the 2nd they do a 1st and just for retained Tarasenko.</div></div>
agreed, there is no way they get either Othmann/Cuylle at this point. Considering Tarasenko has a full NMC, he could diminish the return by only choosing 1-2 teams. We did StL enough favors with the Buch trade. They owe us one. Kravtsov+1st rounder is more than enough for Tarasenko w/ retained. Barbashev would be a 4th liner on the rangers rn so they won't pay much to get him.

Im starting to see why Gallant is fired often
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ab27</b></div><div>The only player I could see them exchanging is Trochek so that way when they play the puck to Mika, he is looking at more options (one-timer, slap-pass to Kreider, or small pass to bumper position for shot). I think Trochek can be your net front, face off winning player on PP2. You could stick Laffy or Kakko in that position (I think they are both lefty) instead. I just don't like the forced Mika one-timer as it has lost its effectiveness.
**I also appreciate the nearly hourly of reading all of this and seeing how much I agree with my fellow Rangers fans lol.</div></div>
Mika's 1 timer has become less effective because:
1. They know it's coming (only OVI can get away with this!)
2. He misses the net so much- maybe because he's shooting for a spot (due to #1)?
Putting a left hand shot across from him (where Panarin is playing) might help fix both #1 and #2....at least worth trying- all the while giving PP2 a boost!

All Rentals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ab27</b></div><div>Im not saying Meier is not worth it, I just hope they don't pay this much for any rental honestly. It would suck to not have any picks in the first 5 rounds lol.</div></div>
If they win the Cup- then you live with that...but the NHL is so random that no move (or moves) can guarantee a Cup...so the most likely scenario here is a barren cupboard after getting bounced from the playoffs at some point because Igor was unable to maintain a .950 save percentage!

Would love to see Meier here...but with that type of package for him- gotta be looking beyond this year...and another RFA looking to get paid is not what helps this team going forward

Laf will not be tradedat least this season
do not base on what MTL paid for Dach to what NYR will get for Laf, MTL are complete and utter morons and grossly overpay for players when they acquire players, i mean they gave up a 1st + for a 3rd/4th liner in Dvorak, Dach was not worth a top 15 pick when he was traded and neither is Laf, but who knows maybe NYR will find a sucker like CHI and ARI did. (and it might just be MTL)

Tarasenko is a Better Blockbuster Option than Kane
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ab27</b></div><div>People on here acting like getting Vlad for a rental is as valuable as getting DeBrincat last season lol.
He will likely fetch what Giroux got last season which was a 1st, 3rd, and Tippet (average prospect), so I do not think this is that far off.
I don't think there has been a traded player at the deadline that has fetched what you guys are asking. Multiple first rd picks and prospects.</div></div>
But giroux is insane at faceoffs and is a center which has more value... so probably less

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy739</b></div><div>ill take that bet
Ill stipulate they'll be conditioned for sure
But Vlad is one of the most dominate goal scorers the past 10 years and won a cup
You'll be shocked to learn Contenders covet these things and as far as cost goes
Hagel got 2 first round picks and two prospects taken in the 2nd round last year
Just saying Captialism is Supply vs Demand and with 22 teams buying that makes it fun this year
Especially when of those remaining 10 teams out of the playoff picture not buying that only 4 so far are actively selling.
ANA was trying to end its rebuild with the addition of Klingberg to back up Gibson but instead they're gonna get a top pick thanks to injuries piling up.
I doubt they blow it up and sell more then Klingberg and most of the 10 teams out of the playoff are in similar positions.
I just dont see how with whats available that Taresenko gets less then a 2 first round picks.
I mean if STL was open to taking just one they woulda closed the deal last TDL but felt lowballed
The reason they held out is they understand how the TDL works with Supply vs Demand dictating Value</div></div>
Not event gunna read past the "Hagel got 2 first " because he had multiple years on a very low aav. Tank won't fetch more than Kane especially with your logic, considering Kane has been one of the best players in the league for 15 years and has 3 cups

Hagel had 2 and a half years left on a low Cap 3 year deal...and that's before he becomes an RFA again. Not an expiring Contract. Completely different.
More term, than Yes, probably multiple 1sts. But that's not the case.
