Is there like an age gap with this thing? Just wondering why there’s no McDavid or really any other superstar.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>herzausstein</b></div><div>I mean i dont think we need chychrun but Batherson is a pretty tantalizing piece. Chychrun is an oddball though being a LHD and us being pretty full up on LHD. Brunette really likes running McDonagh/Josi so a 2nd pairing of Chychrun/Stastney with Stastney playing offhand (he does it in Milwaukee) might work out nicely. Once McDonagh's contract expires, Chychrun moves up next to Josi or as josi ages just takes over 1st pairing by himself.
Retaining on Saros hamstrings nashville going into the deadline leaving us with no retention slots at the deadline so if things go sideways we have no eject buttons.
Then Korpisalo is an overpaid backup and bostons 1st is later.
Losing sissons makes way for Parssinen to take iver the 3rd line center role but leaves a real leadership vacuum in the middle of the lineup.
I dont think ottawa would do it personally and im borderline on nashville as well. It is different atleast.</div></div>
Yeah, Sissons is a keeper. He’s too valuable to us.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>NSH has multiple forwards in the A that are either NHL ready, or on the cusp of being so. Can't say the same about their current RD prospects. NSH will have more holes to fill on RD too, with Barrie (and possibly Carrier) not returning.
It's been a bit perplexing why Brunette scratched Fabbro so much, but he plays well with Josi. A guy who can play on the top defense pair is a lot more useful than a $4.75M depth forward, IMO. Especially when NSH already has several vet defensive forwards in the mix (Sissons, McGrattan, Smith, Jankowski).</div></div>
Yeah, I feel for Fabbro. I feel he’s a likely trade candidate cuz who would be happy being scratched every night when you play well?

Very. Most painful series ever. Basically just rooting for home team. But hey, at least one of my teams are moving on to round 2.

Think the Isles decline that Sens deal. Doesn’t work for either side IMO.
That NSH deal is AWFUL. A GM would be delusional and should be fired if they accept that.

The best trade in a season from each team
Zadorov is NOT one of our best acquisitions. Lafferty has been way better and only cost a 5th. Also JT Miller trade was pretty good.
For Nashville, I’d say Ryan McDonagh is up there for best trade, didn’t cost much…

Expansion Ideas and Division Reshaping
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>Won't be Halifax, If Canada gets another team it's in Toronto/Hamilton (GTA) or Quebec City
If I had to add 4 teams, they would be Phoenix, Houston, Atlanta. Then the 4th could be any of Kansas City, Quebec City, Somewhere in the Greater Toronto Area, etc</div></div>
Fair, but I just feel that the East Coast deserves a hockey team and Halifax has the most people(around 500,000), so it seems like an obvious choice. Quebec City wouldn't be bad, its just that a team in Atlantic Canada really makes the game more accessible.

Expansion Ideas and Division Reshaping
If the league expanded to 36+ teams, what would the 4 new teams be and how would you reshape the divisions, if at all?
I'd add Phoenix(new ownership), Halifax, Houston and Portland. I'd change the divisions to 6 teams
Pacific: San Jose, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary
South-Central: Anaheim, LA, Phoenix, Utah, Vegas, St. Louis
North-Central: Winnipeg, Minnesota, Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Colorado
Southeast: Tampa, Florida, Nashville, Carolina, Dallas, Houston
Metro: Pittsburgh, Washington, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Islanders, Rangers
Atlantic: Boston, Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Buffalo

Name the three primary objectives for your team's off-season... go!
Canucks:
1. Find a top 6 player(won't resign Lindholm, ideally looking for Reinhart/Guentzel if they take a discount and can come in for under 9 mil, if not, maybe Teuvo Teravainen) and a middle 6 player(thinking Sprong would be perfect)
2. Figure out what to do with Hronek(max I'd pay is 7.25 AAV)
3. Get a 2nd pair RD (Fabbro/Carrier ideally)
Nashville:
1. Trade Fabbro to a team better suited to him, he hasn't been getting the right ice-times and situations and I'd rather free up cap and go after Brady Skjei or Brandon Montour
2. Figure out what to do about Tomasino and Parssinen
3. Resign Stastney to a bridge deal in the 1.5 mil range
4. Call up L'Heureux and Askarov
