Kumpulainen earned his entry-level contract with Minnesota by improving his game in several categories as his year progressed in 23/24. Big body. Long. Rangy. Used in all situations at the junior level in Oshawa. Equal parts goal scorer / distributor. Extends plays along the wall with his stature. Skating has improved. His stride is fine but there is still room for another level of explosiveness and separation. Represented Finland at the World Juniors and scored 2 goals in 7GP. Drafted in the 2nd round (53rd) in 2023. Needs more time ... but tracking in a positive direction. Has the brain to be used in a variety of roles if required.22 mars 202423 mars 2024

Faber is one of the top stories in the NHL rookie class this season. He's averaging an incredible 25 minutes per game for the Wild and being deployed in all situations. He's produced 4G - 29A - (+2) defensively. Faber has some push back physically. He's involved and doesn't back down in the hard areas - along the wall and out front his net. Credited with 49 hits and 114 shot blocks. Complete player. No weaknesses. Solid skater. Elite thinker. High end compete and detail. Just getting started. Long NHL career ahead. Top pairing 'do it all' - right shot defenceman20 févr. 202424 févr. 2024

In 23GP - before being sidelined with a minor upper body injury before the All-Star break - Fleury posted a 2.95 GAA and .897 save percentage. Veteran goalie on the tail end of an outstanding career. Leader. Winner. Lightens the mood in the dressing room. Butterfly - Athletic style - somewhat unorthodox. Active in the crease. Competes as hard as he can to keep pucks out of the net at all costs. Majority of goals against come from between the dots / around his crease. Not the same 'Grade A' netminder he once was but has enough left in the tank to steal a game on occasion. Rebound control ranges - second tier starter / high end back up security Expiring contract - over 35 years old - no move clause - $3.5M AAV27 janv. 20246 févr. 2024

Team Sweden Captain at the WJC in Gothenburg Plays the right way. Full 200ft. Reliable three zone compete and detail. Not elite offensively but capable walking to open ice and directing the puck on net. Heavy lifter. Extends plays along the boards - works off the cycle - middle bumper on the PP The kind of player who compliments smaller - darting line mates. Can slide into 2F or 3F role - depending on need.28 déc. 202329 déc. 2023

Skilled forward who plays a light game Moves well - has the skating ability to be a threat off the rush and jump to space / first on pucks when engaged His impact would be far greater if he was more consistently involved in the play Has the skill to be deployed at ES and PP but rarely does much heavy lifting or provide secondary battle to win pucks back17 sept. 202325 sept. 2023

Big body - power forward stature - skating is not an issue on straight lines - played quicker and faster as the season went along In a ten game segment towards the end of the year he scored 1g-2a - but only had 16 SOG Used in all situations at the college level The team around him is had a down year but he is competed hard between the whistles and attempted to play with three zone detail - offensive upside is a (?) -3 févr. 202313 juin 2023

Good size prospect who was part of the leadership group for Team Finland at the U18 Worlds. Not overly physical - Skating has room for improvement. More quickness to small area battles required. Once up to speed he has the ability to create off the rush. Good stick in tight quarters around the net. Appears comfortable distributing and going to the net (tips and rebounds) on the PP. Doesn't have a singular elite element at this stage of his development but has the hockey IQ - and enough overall game - to project as a player who can be used up and down the lineup if he maximizes his development.30 avr. 2023-

Skill element is attractive When engaged he is difficult to defend in small areas and off the rush Leans distributor more than shooter Picks his spots playing fast Off the puck detail / defensive zone exits / secondary battle - became more of a concern down the stretch when games got more difficult - and continued into U18 Worlds with Team Canada Has top six NHL upside when engaged 100%.30 avr. 2023-

Skilled forward who can be a threat off the rush Difficult to defend 1vs1 A bit of an unusual stride but it doesn't hold him back At times he displays a need to make plays on his own instead of dissecting his entire surrounding - but he's a very competitive player who wants to make a difference25 janv. 20237 févr. 2023

A big body forward who has the potential to be a complimentary power winger on a scoring line. He goes to the hard areas to extend plays and body opponents off the puck. Net front he gives defenders all they can handle. Capable on the PP. Not elite with the puck on his stick but he has sound IQ and enough puck touch to make a play. Doesn't generate a lot on his own in terms of transition or pucks to the net. Reliable 200ft game.15 oct. 202220 oct. 2022

It's been a hectic start to the 2022-2023 season for Fleury. He's allowed 11 goals against in his first 80 minutes Fleury has always brought high end compete. He will do whatever it takes to make a save. His style is a bit unorthodox compared to others. He still has quick pads, gloves, and big save ability. He appears more hectic than unusual to start the season. He's over anticipating. His rebound control is off. He's getting too far outside his posts and getting beat from long range. When he drops too early he's getting very small in his net.13 oct. 202218 oct. 2022

At the Buffalo Sabres Prospects Challenge he stood out at times Luke played quick and fast. His zone exits, with the puck on his stick, showed his transition speed. He drove opponents back as they respected his pace off the rush. His interior game ranged in terms of impact but it wasn't for lack of effort. He competed and never backed down. He's a skilled, quick, fast, hard working player who leans offense but can play energy role.16 sept. 202227 sept. 2022

Close to a complete player. Coming off a year in the AHL where he produced 18g-35a-53pts Rossi has reliable three zone awareness and compete. He was a (+11) in 21/22 playing in the AHL for Iowa. He can be used in all situations if required Element leans offense. He sees the ice exceptionally and makes plays in open ice and tight quarters equally. On occasion he can surprise with a quick release to the net. Off the rush he is creative and has an extra gear when needed. Projects to be a top 6 NHL forward.24 avr. 202210 sept. 2022

Excellent crease composure Moves laterally very well. Tracks the play. Rarely outside his posts. Rebound control is generally sound. Plays the puck and has the ability to clear his zone or outlet long range. Very focused. Rarely allows a poor goal against. Expects a lot of himself. Size is bonus. Veteran forward who averaged just over 16:00 TOI in 21/22 season. Used RS and on the PP. Does not PK except for clean up duty. Can create off the rush. Better than average vision and puck touch. On the forecheck he will bump opponents off the play and create turnover chances. Defensive detail is average but not irresponsible. His (+/-) stats are glaring but for a variety of reasons. Not just his play. Better than average pace.2 mars 202212 juill. 2022

After a fantastic season in the AJHL he was a part of Team Canada at the U18 Worlds He competed and tried to play to his element offensively In time added strength and preparation should lead to more pace out of the gate and separation. Historically he has been a high end point producer. Rieger has great hands and a fantastic release. When time and space allow he takes advantage offensively. He is going to college. It will allow him more time to develop physically. He has a solid foundation of skill.23 avr. 20221 juill. 2022

A responsible leader who plays a full 200ft game and can be used in all situations. Ohgren has the ability to extend plays in the offensive zone with his battle in the hard areas. He battles along the wall and around the crease to win pucks. He has a good stick and demonstrates the ability to make plays in tight quarters. Limited ice when playing at the KHL level. High end results when playing within his own age group. His primary element is offense but Yurov plays with better than average detail defensively as well. A strong skater who has an extra gear in transition. He's not shy about driving to the net when he gets the edge. Really good puck touch and vision. Makes plays off the wall and from below the goal line. There's room for more strength but he's already plenty strong. A late 2003 birthday. He has top 6 NHL upside.30 avr. 202223 juin 2022

A mid-size forward who is both quick and fast. Plays the game at top speed. Off the rush he has the ability to gain the offensive zone. Used in all situations at the junior level. At worst he projects to be a middle of the lineup energy / PK / role player. Up ice pressure without the puck on the PK and as F1 on the forecheck creates turnovers.
