Saros came on in the second half of the season - giving the Preds the high end goaltending they have come to expect. Stocky. Athletic. Fantastic lateral quickness / quick feet / pads. Ability to steal a game on any given night. Size is a factor when teams 'clog' the front of his net and take away his 'eyes' but he battles hard to make saves. As noted - his season was much improved overall in the second half compared to the first - but his last ten game segment resulted in a 6-3-0-1 record - .897 % / 3.22 GAA He will need to be the Preds best player in playoffs.15 avr. 202420 avr. 2024

The Preds and Barrie are on a collision course for a divorce. Barrie would like a change of scenery, especially since he has been a consistent healthy scratch in Nashville. Barrie is a veteran - '2-way / Transitional' defenceman who can quarterback a PP unit. He's an average defender who plays the game with a minimal amount of physical push back. Best described as an 'area' defender. When his 'routes' are off, in his zone, he has a difficult time containing his check to the perimeter. Barrie has played 35 games for Nashville in 23/24 He's averaged 18:26 TOI - with 99% of his ice time coming at even strength and PP - he rarely sees time on the PK 1G - 11A and (-10) defensively. Leans bottom pairing at even strength. Distributor on the PP. Cap hit = $4.5M Expiring deal - pending UFA22 févr. 20245 mars 2024

After suffering through some ups and downs, earlier in the season, he's back playing to the best of his ability Workhorse. Has appeared in 49 games as of March 5th His last five starts - from February 22nd - March 2nd - he posted outstanding numbers - 1.20 GAA / .955 save percentage Butterfly athletic goalie. Competes to keep pucks out of the net. At times he gets outside his posts and has to travel a long way back to regain his crease - making him smaller in the net in the process Great feet. Good low net coverage for his stature. One more year left on a contract that pays $5.0 million but doesn't have trade protection. Many high end years ahead. Zucker's ice time has ranged in Arizona. The '2-way' forward has averaged around 14:00 TOI, for the year, overall. Zucker continues to play quick and fast. He's always been a strong skater. It's only a matter of time before Barrie and the Preds part ways with each other. The question is whether it will come at the trade deadline, or in the off-season. Pending UFA. Cap hit $4.5M. Same player he has always been. A mid-range '2-way/transitional D' who can quarterback a power-play. Leans distributor more than shooter. Average defensively. In 35GP with the Preds this season he has averaged 18 minutes TOI - deployed at ES and PP - while contributing 1G-11A. P3
Reliable 2-way 'D' who does have a transitional element as well Sound skater. Retrieves pucks effectively and makes proper decisions with his outlets Not big. Not small. An 'area' defender with high end hockey IQ Leans distributor more than shooter Has the ability and smarts to get involved off the play and come late as an extra attacker3 déc. 20212 janv. 2022

Somewhat undersize defender who brings a transitional element and can contribute on the PP. Patient on the offensive blue line. Displays ability to draw opponents in and patiently make puck plays around them. At 5/5, at this stage of his development, he rarely takes risk despite having the skill set to rush the puck more often. His game management and IQ are trustworthy. Steady contributor to start his college career.20 nov. 20212 janv. 2022

Potential depth minor league prospect at this stage of his college development He is used in all situations at Penn State A very average contributor on the PK. He sees the ice fine but doesn't rotate quick enough to get into shooting / playmaking lanes. At even strength he goes long stretches without handling the puck He competes to the best of his ability. Has a long way to go before being considered an NHL signing12 nov. 20212 janv. 2022

Skating holds Isak back at this point in his development. He has height but lacks lower body strength. Better than average puck touch. He can make some plays and sees the ice. Most of his puck plays come off the half wall or scrums. Not an open ice threat. A bit knock kneed. Young enough that he has time to work on his deficiencies but a long way to go before defining him as a pro prospect30 oct. 20211 janv. 2022

Stands out with his quickness and agility Active defender who keeps plays alive in the offensive zone Used in all situations at the college level Not shy about joining the rush and directing pucks to the net As noticeable as Luke is shift to shift we are looking for more to actually get accomplished offensively Transitional / 2-way D / Average Defender / More energy than physical / Competes24 oct. 20211 janv. 2022
