Uh...He obviously wasn't ready for the NHL full time? What's hilarious is that they burned a year off his ELC since he played more than the 9 games. EL OH EL.

So right you are FutureNHLGM. What I saw of him, he looked OK, but he didn't he score his only 2 goals (and points) early in the season? Pens management might have thought (or hoped) he was ready. There was a reason he was drafted in the second round. He wasn't NHL ready. Think only 3 players from last years draft on NHL teams....McDavid, Eichel and Hanifan. 1,2, and 4 overall.

Hes not NHL ready. He had the speed and hands, but he was terrible possession and defense wise. I mean he made some good plays, but he has a way to go. If the team was better he could have stuck around and the liability wouldn't matter as much. The pens as they are now can't risk playing him to often. I think it was good for him to get the experience. I really don't think a year of his ELC is that big a deal.... But I guess that all depends where the team is in 2 years.

As a pens fan, I'm glad he can go back to the Q and get away from this dumbs yet fire of a team.
