Description
Staal is an immovable ojbect, has to be in the 6/7D rotation.
Send Kampfer down, bring up pionk so Deangelo, Pionk and Staal can rotate.
If the season goes delightfully well, then look for an impact center at the deadline. Otherwise let the kids develop and continue the offseason moves next year.

Bingo! See how things unfold. Trade Nash and Grabner at tdl. Keep cap to finally acquire a (non vanilla) star. The only star ufa next year is Tavares, so we'll have to trade a Kreider + for one.

NO! New York should not go that way. And Tavares wouldn't want to go to the NYR.

Ehhh I wouldn't trade Grabner heading into the playoffs, but I would trade Nash if we can get something in return because he is a non-factor in the playoffs.

Idk that I'd trade grabs or nash unless we were totally sunk by trade deadline, I also doubt that Tavares would sign with NYR.

Good teams don't trade their UFAs at deadline. Rangers are probably tied for 2nd in the Eastern Conference to advance to the Eastern Conference Final, behind Pens and tied with about 4 other teams. I don't think Rangers have the cap to sign Tavares, but why wouldn't he sign with the Rangers given the opportunity?
