WTF... you must be an avs fan. 2 Top Prospects and a franchise star for a struggling center who is very overpaid and 2 bottom pairing defensemen, and the best of the twos contract is up at the year. Why the hell would the Penguins want to give that up?

Do you even know what bottom pairing defensemen mean? You called Trouba and Myers bottom pairing defensemen in my roster and now Johnson and Barrie. Starting to think you don't even know what that means?

Duchene is only one point behind Malkin, and those are top pairing defensemen plus Barrie is an RFA so its in likely he wouldnt go anywhere.

I like the players you are trading for, but would rather trade Letang and try to get Gabriel Landeskog or Nathan Mackinnon. I went to a Pens-Avalanche game and really liked Tyson Barrie. He had to play on the first defense pair because Johnson was injured. He sees the ice well and is developing into a potential number 1 power play quarterback. I have seen enough of Letang in this role with the Pens. How about Letang and Bennett for Tyson Barrie and Nathan Mackinnon? Unless the Avalanche love Letang they would never do this, but I think it is a year early to consider trading E Malkin.

Again, thats just beyond homerism...not even touching on Barrie but to have MacKinnon put into any trade scenario is ridiculous. Hes a legit 1C that is playing like the superstar that the was suppose to be. Would you have traded Sid or Geno when they were 20, especially for some random assortment of parts trade?
