That's not nearly enough for a player like JVR.
I understand the thinking behind moving Bickell as a cap dump. Obviously the Leafs don't need him, but theoretically they could take him. But then the price would be even higher than just JVR alone.
And Shaw is not much. A bottom 6 depth player, with not much skill. Danault has shown nothing so far, though he has potential of becoming a bottom 6 player. A very late first rounder is a future marginal NHLer.
That's not nearly enough. You'd need to add some real value. A reason for the Leafs to consider this. Teuvo, maybe? Schmaltz? Dano? Even then, I think a proven top line winger is worth more than a potential one.
