My perspective is if Lysell didn’t get hurt, he would have gotten a cup of coffee at the end of the year. He played a pretty team oriented game post the call out from Mouganel. I wish he was a bigger guy and had more self awareness, but his talent was obvious to anyone who watched Providence last year. His speed, edges, and passing ability are all excellent at the NHL level.

Don betting on Merk or Lysell without a backup plan is a big risk, could pay off who knows.

Best example is Stankoven coming up and being a solid 3RW for Dallas even in the playoffs too. Gotta hope Lysell is up for at least that, or we grab a guy before the trade deadline

I may be wrong but I believe Bussi can start the year in Providence without being claimed if he doesn’t make the roster. It’s only if he’s called up during the season that he becomes eligible to be claimed. And knowing Sweeney, I believe there will be a ‘JVR’ type signing and a couple of PTOs before October!
