Description
He cant possibly leave Wahlman as the only improvement to the D corps right? This is where I think he's going. SJ takes Trouba (and Goodrow) from NYR. Send Ferraro and receive a first back for the net $8M in salary absorbed. Edit: Trouba staying in NY for another year for his wife per reports. Didnt use to like him, but think he's a pretty great person. Love it.

Still dont know where Grier is going with this... man that D is putrid.

Doesnt really matter who Guschin goes to. Though Calgary has a lack of talent, and open roster spots. So if they dont keep him long term (he has one year left), he would be great candidate for stats boosting to trade for quality assets.

They wouldn’t give up a 3rd for a high skill nhl ready player? Odd

I agree that Grier needs to do more for the defense.

I was on the Trouba train until today. I read Trouba won't even approve a trade to Michigan, where he's from, because his wife is a doctor in residency in NY. Drury could pull the Goodrow waivers trick again, but that would be a real dick move.

I hate to see Bords and Gush go, but Grier really hasn't left much room for them.

Feel like Ferraro for Trouba and a 1st (plus Goodrow) kind of shortchanges the Sharks. Ferraro is worth a 1st even without taking on all that cap.

He ain't worth a First. I'd only pay a first if you were taking Trouba on top of Goodrow. Chycrun went for a bottom 6 player and a 3rd.

Yeah you bet... given where San Jose is why on earth would they trade that NHL ready player?

Add in Calgary already has 2 ppg AHL guys to try to squeeze into the line up.

Bords is an established NHL player who started scoring at .5 PPG at the NHL level. He would immediately jump those two in the pecking order and likely be a top 6 option for the Flames. That is well worth the third.

Because the GM signs and claims bums to fill a roster instead of give young guys who aren’t meat heads a chance
