Cam Fowler has a four-team-only trade list and Edmonton isn't on it, Jackson LaCombe is a young nicely-developing second-pair defenseman just getting his second contract, and Gus Lindstrom is a useful 6/7 right-shot defenseman; Ceci and Kulak are 30-year-old substandard defenders and Campbell has one of the five worst contracts in the NHL. Take out Fowler because of the NTC and add an Oiler first-round draft pick and Anaheim still declines.
I can't imagine Anaheim having any interest whatsoever for any player in that second package with the possible exception of James Stefan. The idea that we would downgrade from entry-level-contract Pavel Mintyukov to $9.25 million Darnell Nurse is particularly amusing; we think that Pavel's the next Evan Bouchard and we'll wait to find out.
No interest in minor-leaguer Carl Berglund.
