There's so many rumors that NJ already has a deal in place for Brett Pesce on Monday. Rumored to be $5.5mil for 5/6 years.
For Duclair, he's got great speed, a pretty good shot and I wouldn't mind slightly overpaying for 1 year to have him play with Jack. If it doesn't work out we can trade him or keep him and let him become a free agent next summer.
For Kubalik, coming off a horrible year in Ottawa, why not take a shot on him for 1 year for just a little over 1mil. He could be our Nosek signing for this summer. Worst comes to worst, we send him to the AHL and his full cap hit gets buried as well.
Let me know what you guys think. If NJ does end up signing Brett Pesce, apparently he can also play the left side. Why not keep Marino? I think with a healthy Dougie Hamilton, Marino could have a bounce back season. Also with L.Hughes and Nemec a year older, they're now a little used to the NHL grind so Marino won't have to feel as if he's carrying these guys.
