obviously the pens probably wouldn't accept because of back to back cups and all.. but for me this would be pretty close to acquiring Kessel.

As a Pens fan, I don't want to trade Kessel this season. I think we have to keep him at least for one more season, cause we need to be sure that our young wingers will handle the pressure to replace the veterans.

As for the value...maybe Rutheford would ask for one more pick. But my trade was based in Predators perspective. I was impartial, as usual.

I think this is a fair deal for Kessel. The Pens won't trade him right now, but this offer is fair IMO.

Preds likely say no. Fiala is 21, and this will be his first full year with the opportunity to step up and score. Jarnkrok wasn't protected to be traded. Kamenev may need another year to develop. Keep the young guys and a longer window versus trading for a 30 yr old. Kessel is great, but I think Fiala, Sissons and Aberg will pick up Neal and Fisher's goal scoring.

Yeah. I think the same. Probably, Kessel will stay in Pitt for at least 1 or 2 years for the reason that I said to DJ. But, from Predators perspective, it'd be a great trade and a step up to the right direction to the team win their first SC.

I'm not sure about it. This team is already prepared to win their first SC and they show it last season. They can't wait any longer, cause they already have their core players playing at top level or almost there.

The team is young indeed and this is why Kessel would be a great adition, cause he'd add experience to the Predators. A two time SC champion already and a great player who grows even more in playoffs.

Predators reached SC Finals last season. They need to keep the momentum and do the necessary to finally win their first Cup.
