2. I never said that the 14th overall pick is what his value should be

I would say Cutter is. Fox basically forced his way to the Rangers.

Cutter is probably a slightly better comp, but it’s hard to say for sure as we don’t really know if McGroaty will be more similar to Fox or Gauthier with his team demands. Regardless, I see him as having less value than Gauthier, who was 5th overall and more productive in college. McGroaty also has decided to go back to college next season, and will only need to go back for one more year after that to be a UFA, which will hurt his value as that is some risk for the team that acquires him.
