as you know there are intangibles that you dont see in the box score for players and Laughton is one of those players. Plus, one has to wonder why Ottawa is so eager to Trade this "top 4 dman" on a team that its defense is suspect

Keep their assets? It's one asset. You are receiving a 1st and a 3rd and a guy who most of the league considers a bigger value than just his stats. Which, if you did any research, you would see he returned to his 2022-23 form later in the year. A guy who can play up and down the lineup, can put in 30-35 points, plays on the PK, and is a great leader in the room. Just because you don't like him, doesn't mean he has more value than just what you see on stats websites.

No they wouldn't because they wouldn't make that trade in the first place. It's basically the same player, Laughton at his peak is a better value than Joseph in the same vein. I don't know how youre not seeing this but luckily most of the league would agree with us, and if he is traded, you will see.
