I just don't think the rangers move schneider at this point, maybe down the line. I'm not sure what other teams are going to offer that is considered "fair value" for a guy that has yet to play in the nhl. The closest one that I have seen on here is zegras straight up for him, and I think even that winnipeg would need to throw more in. Not from the rangers, but any team in the league, what looks like a fair trade for him? Also I'm almost positive jones played RD for the rangers when he was up.

That's the thing though, players that want to go to specific cities sometimes sign for less. Last year I was called crazy when I said blake wheeler would sign for league minimum with the rangers (even though it didn't work out). I think Kane comes back to NY for around 3 million.

Correct. Probably somewhere between 5-6 actually. So if we are just signing him to made up numbers, might as well go all the way down in to silly land.

Listen Patty Kane may be a lot older now, But he can still pull a large salary, He played good in Detroit, And he can play all over your lineup, A 5M dollar player all around

Sticking point with Detroit in negotiations isn't money, it's term. He wants 3 years. He isn't signing anywhere for 1 year at half the salary others will offer.

Yep, that is the hold up. He wants 3 years, Yzerman wants 2.

The Jets can't dress 18 forwards. There's a chance only Kakko is the only full time NHLer of this group on the Jets next season if the trade were made.
