I think the trade helps both teams. Utah has 3 rfa dmen . They have enough draft picks. Getting the 2 AHL prospects means they could reach the club sooner. They could also use a little experience on the back end. Kerfoot is just a 1 year deal. Detroit needs to move defense and pick up a winger. One who played for Stevie in TB.

Yzerman isn't including Buium in a trade just so we can free up Cap space. Yzerman traded up in the Draft to get him and he just had an excellent year in NCAA.
6'3" with at least Top 6 potential...Maybe even Top 4.

I put Bium instead of Wallinder. Both about same size. I just thought Wallinder was ahead of Buium. You could also keep them both but didn't want to give up a 2nd. With Edvinson ahead of both, one would be on the 3rd pair someday.
I only put Mantha because Vegas doesn't want to bring him back. For 2 mil to get a 4th line player with some size and scoring ability was pretty good.

You can find a lot better 4th liners then Mantha for about 1-1.5mil. Fischer rings a bell? I'd rather have him then Mantha all day long
