If you think the Isles are trading Horvat after originally sending assets to get him and give him an eight-year deal then I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

-Isles would pass with no extension for Marner. Horvat has shown he can play in New York, and likes being here, and there's no guarantee Marner would do the same. Varlamov has already reportedly declined to waive for anyone in Canada as well so I don't think that's realistic either. Kampf is redundant on the Isles and would be considered nothing more than cap ballast here, and with the amount of cap the Isles are eating here (sending out $11.25M and taking back just over $14M) I think there's no need for them to be on the short end of a pick swap. Value just doesn't work for NYI.

-This deal is horrendous for the Sharks. Ferraro on his own should be worth at least a 2nd + a decent prospect; instead, you have them sending a second, taking back a 33 year old winger who doesn't add any value to them, plus a bottom-6er with limited upside, and all they get back is a pair of midrounders? Terrible deal for San Jose and an instant pass for them.

-This trade is bad for Ottawa. They should be able to get 1st round value for Chychrun; bundling him with Korpisalo and torpedoing his value doesn't make a ton of sense when you don't really have another goalie to tandem with Anton Forsberg. The value coming back is classic quantity-over-quality - McCabe is a fine 4/5 D, Holmberg looks interesting as a bottom-6er, but Abruzzese looks like a depth guy and it feels like a bad sign to put out there if you trade Webber two months after he decided to sign with your team.

-Woll looks like the best goalie on the team currently; I don't think it makes any sense for the Leafs to move him. I think both sides decline this one - Seattle shouldn't need to send a pick with Larsson, and Toronto shouldn't be giving up a potential starter in net for an upgrade at RD1.

-Gonna need to see some sort of trade comp here for this one - why would the Caps spend a decent pick on the type of guy they could easily sign in UFA? They could easily sign a guy like Tony DeAngelo or Tyson Barrie for a similar cap hit to what Timmins will command and they get that upgraded talent without giving up a 3rd.
