Description

Maybe Hartman is a beast on the right side, and can play the cycle game. Maybe Hinostroza breaks out with Kane, if not, DeBrincat should claim that spot later in the year. Maybe the third line is deadly with two shoot first wings, and Schmaltz as a playmaking center. Maybe Kero handles heavy d-zone starts well with two big guys on his wings.

Or maybe it all implodes, who knows.

I do think Hartman will take the 1RW role at some point this season. He's played really well with Kero as his Center and would love to see him play next to Toews and Saad. That could be a lethal line.

The first line is already set in stone really, it's Saad-Toews-Panik. I like your idea of Hinostroza on the 2nd line with Kane. But I don't see Bouma being scratched if we gave him $1 million.

It seems like the first line will start as Saad-Toews-Panik, but I don't think that's set in stone. If Hartman is even better this season, I think he could definitely bump Panik down.

Also, if Bouma outplays Hayden or Wingles, then he'll be on that 4th line. There's no other spot for Bouma in this lineup, he has to beat one of those two for a spot.

U r right anything could work or implode. Hawks have a lot of bottom 6 forwards. They lack one more top 6 forward. Schmaltz is questionable as a C. Dauphen fortin d-cat and kampf will get looks as well. Rutta will play over Pokka. Remove Roszi from an ability to find nhl ice.
