you've got that backwards my guy. the bruins aren't making a trade that makes their cap situation worse, and their team worse.

they're trading a guy they're about to lose in UFA with a cap dump. their team gets better and their long term situation is unaffected, except it improves their cap slightly. how is that a loss?

ugh....going into the last year of his contract, after which he is a pending UFA. Obviously I'm not talking about UFA rights....otherwise I would have said UFA rights.
