You’re moving up a round in the draft and you’re getting back a 3rd pairing d man who’s young and you’re saving some salary. Why wouldn’t Vegas do this? You need every cent your team can get your hands on too. On top of all of that you just got hanafin, need to re sign Theodore end of next season. Why wouldn’t Vegas do that trade? They’d be insane

That's fine if we are terrible. We are retooling/rebuilding. We are not trying to get marginally better. If Kampf had a 1 year contract maybe we would take him but he doesn't. Also playing better in worlds champs doesn't do much to boost someone's stock unless they are a prospect. We simply don't want Kampf or his contract.

Kampf is a player that brings decent value to a team. 2.4M per year will be about average for 3rd line centres with the salary cap going up. I’d most definitely argue it does bring someone’s value up performing well at the worlds. Why do you think Tavares and Dubois went to play? They wanted to showcase that they’re still good hockey players.

Good for Kampf then. But the blues don't need or want him. Send him somewhere else. Also they play for the summer stuff to represent their countries. People know that Taveras isa good player so he doesn't have to prove anything

10 picks is a lot, especially when it’s from the second to the third round. Vegas needs draft picks. Vegas just picked up hanafin whos on the third line and you guys need to the sign Theodore next year, or this season to an extension. Plus you need to re sign Stephenson and marsh. Anyway you can save money, if I was Vegas I’d do it. Also, liljegren is a solid 3rd pairing d man. He was a first round draft pick. So you’re essentially giving up a 3rd pairing guy for a third pairing guy who is younger and signed for less and you’re moving up a minimum of 10 draft spots. What don’t you understand about that? Would you rather lose Theodore or trade whitecloud and save some money
