My thinking is, Bruins get the 1C they want, Devils get the goalie they want, and the Ducks get a top 10 pick. Gaucher is a low-ceiling prospect who ends up on the 3rd line, Haula's a salary dump, so's Peeke but they'll help the Ducks, and Schmid is there to be a 3G or backup to Dostal if they trade Gibson. This seems more or less even to me, and everybody gets something they want.

It doesn't have to be Gaucher, but it does have to be a player/prospect of decent value. Brayden Tracey? Sasha Pastujov? Tyson Hinds? Drew Helleson? Jackson LaCombe? Calle Clang? the 31 (assuming edm loses)? I personally think Gaucher was drafted too high, but I tried to make it so everyone gave and received relatively equal value. I think I at least have the framework of a workable deal.

What part of 10OA doesn’t get Zegras? Why are you fixed on a prospect WE are giving up in a trade we aren’t doing because it isn’t enough

Zegras might be the last player in the NHL the bruins would want at 1C. First off, never in a million years would they play him at center. he isn't responsible enough. one dimensional. i doubt they would have any interest in him in anything beyond a third line winger PP specialist, and they aren't paying up for that guy.
